OOC:
You should PM both Iituem and I, I think. Or just post the plans here.

And there goes my "Let's just destroy their defenses with siege weaponry!" idea. Oh well.

The King's tent was rather spartan, no more elaborate than the tent of a common soldier save for his heraldry embroidered on the side, the fact that there was only one bed, and a large table in the center. Naturally, Erik had called Grand Master Black and Sir Taric to stand about the table as well as Kain. Off to the side, two of the King's runners stood poised and ready to deliver orders and messages throughout the camp as needed. "I had hoped that he would surrender so that lives might be spared, but I should have known better than to expect that from such a coward," Erik began, looking to no one in particular as he spoke, "Sir Taric has suggested that we burn their harvest, but we still haven't any idea how we would reach their food stores without first attacking...which would obviously remove any need for starving them out." He paused a moment to consider something, and then continued, "I've half a mind to simply attack, but the losses would be great on both sides."

Grand Master Black stood by with a silent scowl as the King and the rebel leaders spoke. In his mind he wanted to call out and shout at the heretics every time they spoke, but he held his tongue. It was not his place to speak for the King in these negotiations; he had already given his advice, Sir Taric was more vocal, bellowing about fools and justice. In truth he agreed with him.

As the rebels turned back towards their camp, Knavston was not surprised. These misguided fools would have the blood of many an innocent man on their hands. All in their misguided attempts to let the people choose their own destiny. They would hope to make a mockery of God and the King. It had taken all his strength not to pull a sword on them while they boosted about putting his King's head on a spike.

The King laughed as the Rebels left, but the Grand Master was less pleased. Offering a quick smile he nodded his head as he was asked to Erik's tent to plot the attack.

“Their defences could truly pose a problem to our attack, Your Majesty. But we have numbers and God on our side. Our priests have blessed every regiment personally and the men are eager to put these rebels to the sword. Losses may be great on both sides, but even if they defend their walls from our assault, they cannot afford the losses.”

((OOC: since when people trying to negotiate are senslessly slaughtered? This is not acceptable...not one bit...on another note when will be my regiment finished?))

Corv hobbled around in his camp.

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! They dare attacking people coming to negotiate? I demand retribution, i demand...ARGH!

Corv, nearly broke down from the pain as he tried to use his right leg.

Sir i suggest...

That we attack them? Damn, thats what they are waiting for, damn bastards. Smarter than i thought. Raise new soldiers, then we will see further...and while your at it send some healer in, i need to be ready for battle...damn those bastards...

Kain pops a blue pastille into his mouth before speaking.
"My king, they have no visible means of feeding themselves. Even a few people, let alone a few thousand would be starved and dehydrated after a few weeks. Save for a cistern or well. But being in the mountains I believe that to be unlikely. Give the scum a week then give an ultimatum to the people inside the town...Die of starvation- which is a horrible way to die- or give up the traitor and submit to your rule, or be burnt alive while we destroy their city and wipe them off the map."
“And what about this lord that joined with the rebels, surely he doesn't wish to die? Maybe send a few messages to him and get him to leave the rebels and join us or just leave the rebels. If he doesn't give up he is a moron of the highest caliber."

It's already finished.  Regiments pretty much get recruited as soon as you hire them, provided there's nothing else stopping you (like an attacking army).

The soldiers were still a bit wet behind their ears but Corv couldn't afford to wait any longer. This time he wouldn't take any chances. The Regiment had been dispersed all around the enemy village, waiting in ambush positions should anyone try to get help. Just before Dawn his Raiders which he had organized in small groups of 9, would attack the village from a dozen positions all around it, charging forward and throw heads ,which were covered in pitch and lit, at the village to cause chaos. The small groups would try to harrass the enemy, before Corv with about a third of the Regiment would charge the village headlong. Of course this was a feint... When the Clansmen tried to attack Corv's part the small groups would charge in from all directions burning on their way the hovels before starting to kill anyone in their way through the village before attacking the enemy in the rear.

OOC: if that won't work i give up...my rolls were so horribly bad up to now...

OOC: I like how we're discussing the spoils of war before the battle is even won. For all we know the Ztah raiders could show up and break our siege any minute now. In any case, there are technically two parcels of land in the mountains at the moment IIRC. It wouldn't be out of the question to split it if two people want it.
Not sure why you'd want it though, as opposed to open and fertile fields.

But, like Knave said, you're more likely to get what you want by being a boss IC. The higher your favor, the more likely your request to be granted.

"All of this is true..." the King mused. After a moment, he looked to the Grand Master, "Their defenses are made of wood. How easily do you think they would burn?"

((I got shit that burns like a mother f***er.. too bad you can't have it yet 8) ))

((In other words when and if I get this stuff up and running it will be at most only keg charges, so either sabotage, setting up an ambush, or being flung from catupults.  Primitive guns will come after cannons which won't be for a while anyway since i'm limiting myself to one research roll a year once I'm more settled.))

OOC: I assumed the town and palisade were part of a parcel of land.

Also, we'll say that the Eelspine has mostly granite with some basalt style rocks. So mostly dirty gray, with some dark black rocks. Igneous layers.

"There wasn't any reason to bring alcohol along as part of our supplies." The King replied, a slightly confused frown on his face, "But if you've a plan that requires it, we should be able to have a store of it brought up within the week. That should give the innocent people of these mountains time enough to surrender if they so chose."
