Hikari walked out to greet them, and said "Hello, King of Elbreth I am Hikari the leader of these men. I have asked for this meeting to discuss with you the possibility of a ceasefire for as it stands no matter how the battle turns out both sides will take great casualities, and I am sure you don't wish for your army to be so badly damaged from crushing my men. As it stands the only aggressions I have put against you are those that had to be made so I could ally with some bandits, so that I could secure some land. Now I ask of you will you not agree to a two year ceasefire at the end of which we will finish this buisness once, and for all. During this time you will have time to gather your strength, and crush me with fewer causalities then if you do battle now, and I will be able to secure a place for battle that will not harm the people of this village who I built this town to protect them."

Before the Negotiations
"If you're referring to the rebels leaders and troops, All is well. Attepts to burn the peasants is something I will not tolerate."

At the Negotiations
"FOOL!, You think you have an advantage over us. Simply put, We will not leave until your army is dead and you burnt!"

Why do you speak so harshly? We have done almost no harm to your kingdom. Yes this town was founded by a few people that once fought against you in a minor battle, but since then it's become simply a refuge for those that don't wish to live under a king. Nearly all of the people here are simple sheep herders or other peasants who have done nothing wrong, so why do you wish harm against us. We're not even stealing any of your land either. Everything we've acquired we've gotten through our own hard work and months of labor. You should let us live on our own here and choose our own way of living because, what have we truly done to upset you?

I'm having money troubles so they disconnected my internet at home... No way to post outside of work. :\ Thankfully I work from 10 AM to 6 PM EST, though its 6:45 and I'm still at the office. (Manager, I can stay as long as I want, hehe)

...And yes, I'm here just to post on B12 in RP posts. Can't get geekier than that.

"We fought you in battle once, and killed only a few men then we decided to go to a new place, and start a small fiefdom of our own, so that we may place upon it our ideals. We do not wish for a fight for it will be of no profit for both sides involved all we wish to do is to make more villages up here, and allow the sheep herders, adn peasents live a nice comfortable life, or a better one thant they would having living alone in this harshland. Now tell me of what profit will it be to you of starting a war, and killing many of your men for lands that are sparcely inhabited,a dn near impossible to farm on where only small groups, adn herds of sheep live ?"

Kain Vadud II and his regiment will arrive during this meeting, you get to decide when.
General Kaguro's messenger is still en route and will likely not arrive till a little while after the meeting.

(2) Try as he might, Mahtan is unable to remember the ingredients he was using when the explosion took place. After a while, he's forced to settle with writing down the basic supplies and equipment needed by an alchemist and little else.

Terenos draws his blade and charges the bandits, his men quickly follow suit. (4+1). The bandits (6+1), however, are far more experienced than his wet-behind-the-ears soldiers. While the bandits are left in no fighting shape, his regiment is essentially wiped out. As he senses the battle turning, he attempts to make a break for it so as to save the documents. (1) Only to be knocked unconscious by a club to the back of the head just as he turns to run. Terenos wakes up sometime later bound and gagged in a small hut with what remains of his regiment.

Drua was already in Miring lands when Miring forces intercepted her, it is a Miring noble she is speaking to now. (5) Her request for shelter is granted. As she and her regiment are escorted back to the Noble's estate, he explains that he is a second cousin of the current King. He also insists that she remain at his estate for the month, as there is currently a festival taking place at the capital and the roads will be dangerous.

The King raised a hand to silence Sir Taric before he could retaliate once more, and then glanced briefly to the Grand Master who also stood by his side. Turning his gaze back to the dog before him, it was all he could do not to snarl, "The Bandits you chose to side with were harming the citizens of my land, the simple sheepherders who you claim to protect. The lands you wished to claim were the Lands of Elbreth. You and your soldiers are no better criminals, and more lowly than the worms crawling beneath our feet." His eyes swept over the two that had come to parley, and settled on the knight. "You side with Bandits, Sir? Have you no honor? Or perhaps you were not there when this cur chose to defend Targus the Raper when my Good General sought to bring justice to the land?" A bemused smile flickered over his face before he turned his attention back to the leader of the rebels, "I have given you and your men one final chance to surrender. Your soldiers, and the citizenry, will be spared for I am not beyond mercy. Should you continue to resist, all who fight shall burn."

He paused once more, studying the other man's face before continuing, "If you care for these people, as you say, then surrender now and spare their lives."

OOC:
Iituem, I'm still waiting for an answer as to how they can apparently hold out indefinitely despite the farming conditions on the mountain.

Also, "Targus the Raper" deserves the "Most Inventive Bandit Lord Name of the Year" Award, I think.

They can't.  Both sides will be taking maintenance checks the longer you're out there, because not only are you also on a barren mountainside, you have a lot more men than they do.

Unless adwarf wants to take an action, the reinforcements from Elbreth arrive (in which case they arrive after whatever action he takes).

OOC: i guess a Honor Guard is ok? My Personal Guard may have been wiped out by great parts but one or two dozen surely survived the battle...

WE SHOULD CHARGE THEM DOWN! ATTACK THEM KILL THEM...

Corv interrupted his Second-in-Command.

Between the burntdown homes of the McPearssons,  Corv's Horde was errecting a temporary camp. Several of the surrendered men were training in the new art of war, the stranger had brought with him.

They fear us, that is good. Get me my Honor Guard, we will demand their surrender.

the Enormous Weylander stared at him,wide-eyed.

ARE YOU INSANE? Look what they have done to Jert!

the Clan-Leader raised a hand.

I don't discuss this with you. They are not prepared for total warfare. This night we will approach their camp openly and demand their surrender. If they do so, they will be integrated, if they refuse we will take an ambassador of them with us and show them the carnage here. If the corpses, the burnt-down houses and the slaves won't sway them, then we can think about slaughter and carnage...
____________________________

It was full moon as Corv and his honor guard reached the fortified homesteads of the Taggarts. A Small forest in his back, for safe retreat, Corv posted himself on a small elevation, clearly visible for all look-outs and guards. Reg was standing on the left of him, Jert having been promoted was carryying the banner, the flayed skin of a human spanned inside a wooden framework upon which was drooped the pelt of a wolf, seemingly swallowing the human skin with his whole body. Each of the honor guards bore apart from their chosen weaponry, shields upon which human skin was spanned and wore blackened leather armours. Corv, Reg and Jert additionaly bore the pelt of a wolf ( in case of Corv the pelt was adorned with the feathers of a Crow) as a headgarb which dropped like a cloak down their backs.((imagine the wolfpelts Roman Signifers(Standard Bearer) wore))

There they stood, silently, waiting.

Wait for someone down in the village approach us and demand an surrender, if they refuse take an ambassador from them to the village of the Mc Pearsson and show them the Corpse Piles, the burnt down village and the slaves. Take him back unscathed and let him tell them what he saw. If they still don't surrender pull pack to the village and prepare ourselves.

I take up shop in the dungeon, where I begin my research and experiments trying to recreate the substance from before.

((I would assume I take a -1 do to me not being specifically supplied, 6 still being a 6.  Which would probably be, you discover it but it exploded, again, prisoners break out and you are hung for being incompetent))

So...why did I spend 4 ducats on setting up supply trains and two regiments to guard them?

"I see this discussion is over, and that you are unfit to rule as king for you do not understand the pain you will bring to your people from this battle. We will not surrender for we have done nothing wrong we simply stood up for our people, and I stood up for mine who were burned during the chaos caused by you taking the throne. My entire village was burned, because of you, and me, and my men will fight to the end to see that your head is impaled on a spike at the top of your castle, and that your soul burns in hell. We will not give up these land swe have struggled to make ours, nor will we abandon these people to your rule. Now goodbye King next time we meet my sword will be at your throat, and you will be begging for mercy, and remember this 'King' even Death himself will not stop me from taking your head." said Hikari as he turned, and marched back inside the gates slamming shut with a echoing thud, as both sides prepared for the battle.
