Due to the fact of time between traveling and such things, is Jorm still traveling on his way back when the siege is initiated or has he already returned back to the town and reported to adwarf?

Corv thought silently for a moment as the Weylander in front of him finished his report.

Get your Kinsmen ready, color your armours and shields black. From now on this will be your new uniform. Understood?

U-n-iform? What that for?

Don't ask stupid questions just do it.

It was getting evening as the McRiar Clansmen had finished. Men wearing black wolf and sheep skins, blackened leather armors and carrying plain black colored shields stared at Corv. A frosty grin in his face he explained his plan...

Ambush the village at night. Set fires on the  most outlying hovels and try to force the McPearsons into the village center. Offer them a surrender. if they A) accept, enslave the women and half of the men. instantly begin military training for the children mainly in guerilla and ambush tactics, be sure to keep them seperated from their parents. the other half of the men add to my current troops. B) they refuse to surrender. Kill every man, every women and every child pile all the corpses in the village centre, plunder and burn the houses. Afterwards look for the next neighboring clan...

Knavston was pleased beyond words with the King's response. He had prayed that god would help them in their quest and he had obviously answered his calls.

"My liege, I imagine this church will be but the beginning! It will serve as a beacon for the truly faithful and make the people proud of their Kingdom and God! You are a truly generous spirit to donate this land to the order!"
He walked with the King, trying not to sound overly-excited. "It would do us great honour to stand by your side in battle. I hope that we might be able to lead the attack from the front lines."

-Grand Master Black and his guard will accompany the King as well. If possible he will have his regiment fight on the front lines.
-Have Cyclicist priests visit the other regiments in the Army and have them bless the troops.

We'll say he's reported back, but if the Steppe Raiders opt to help they won't be able to send troops before the siege began.

McRiar Clan:  You ambush the McPearson village.  [2]  Unfortunately, most do not flee into the centre as expected and soon enough fighting breaks out throughout the village.

McRiar: 6 + 1 = 7
McPearson:  5 + 1 = 6

The ambush is successful, though barely.  You wipe out the village's defenders at the cost of laming or losing most of your own clan's warriors.  You offer surrender to the survivors of the clan.  [5]  After the slaughter they witnessed, they agree to your terms and you begin implementing your draconic rule.

After mixing the McRian and McPearson lands, you have acquired 2 parcels of open land.  You have taken 1 Ducat in loot and pillage as a result of accepting the surrender.  You have no troops left capable of fighting without spending money to recruit fresh ones.

Cyclicists:  Your blessings are well received amongst the soldiers.  Very well received, in fact, to the point where they started drunkenly and riotously praising the Cyclicist dogma.  The whole 'fire and the sword' aspect has made the Burning Circle very popular with the military, but in the eyes of the civilian population you are being painted as a bunch of warlords and troublestarters.

Drua leaves the city, her mediocre maps packed away in her bags, her notes on Suul's troop formations and navy tucked into a study about intricacies of triangulation mapping. A lot of notes were A smile is on her face, irritation at the idiot apprentices aside. Her chest was loaded with the stunning variety of ingredients she had acquired from the markets and the monks, a small notebook filled with names and professions and the topics of discussions that could be interesting. She'd made a lot of good contacts among the three Orders, many she'd be keeping in touch with and a few she'd even call friends. Her troop was heading down to Miring, where she'd meet up with that diplomat and try to make the same observations she'd made about Suul, but this time in Miring. Hopefully, this trip would go a lot better. First up was meeting up, and she'd probably let the diplomat do the talking. She doubted he had a slip with his name on denoting a prison visit come from his efforts.

As the trip progressed, Drua became very interested in a small bag of black beans she had acquired while in Suul. A monk who had travelled to Suul from overseas had become ill on his trip due to ill humours on the meat and died rather quickly. His possessions had been left with the Order of St John, including the mysterious beans, which the sailing monks and priests had no idea what to do with. The black beans seemed very carefully preserved, and they obviously had some purpose. Further experimentation was in order...

Action: Move to Miring to meet up as per the assignment, on the trip, experiment with beans.

OOC: That's fair enough. The King made haste, while any other regiments/nobles that decide to accompany him likely moved at a slower pace so that they could act as a rear guard or something. Ambushes are bad, after all.

I don't suppose that if there are any morale bonuses/detriments from the King fraternizing with his troops/openly threatening the enemy/offering enemy soldiers amnesty I'd be able to know about them?

Also, how can this siege last indefinitely? There's no way that Adwarf is able to get the supplies necessary to keep all his villagers and soldiers fed when he can't even leave the safety of his walls. Even with some farms within the walls, I imagine the nature of the mountains is such that harvests are a constant struggle and near yearly fertilization is required.

Some time before Eelspine...

"You understand, Mahtan, that even if witchcraft was not involved you still must be punished for the damages to these people." The King mused, more to himself than to the alchemist. After a moment of deliberation, he made his ruling: "Mahtan Darwin Elensar shall help to rebuild after any damage he has caused. After that task is done, he shall be held as a prisoner here for a period of one month. I trust this is adequate punishment."

It's a bit difficult to tell what the King has planned for you, but you should probably expect a visitor in the stockades, or wherever they'll be keeping you during your imprisonment.

A little after that...
"Yes...I think I recall hearing of your father's exploits." the King mused distantly. "We may have need of your skills in extracting information, Kain. I am glad to have you by my side."

Sometime before that...
"You and your men shall ride into battle at my side, Grand Master. As I insist on leading the vanguard, should we choose to act the part of the aggressor, you will certainly be on the front lines." as they walked, the King lapsed into silence for a moment before asking, "I have seen you waiting in my court for some time, you must have been present when the Alchemist was brought forth for conjuring fire. Tell me, what do you make of the punishment? Of the Alchemist's apparent abilities?"

A little after the siege had been set up, and the King had made his speech...
The King calmly listened to the Knight's Tale, and then replied "It is good to see that you are well, Sir Taric. I had been worried that some worse fate had befallen you." He considered Sir Taric's suggestion for a moment, and then gave a slight nod, "This I agree with. We know not how long they can hold out. But...how would you suggest we get inside their walls?"

Just to keep everything up-to-date as to how many regiments are currently involved in this siege...

E: Removed "On the way to eelspine" because I misread someone else's post and thought Terenos was returning to Elbreth for some reason.

I carry out my sentence, but as revolutionarilly insane I am, I try to "BETTER" the village as I help rebuild, also as my house is destroyed I ask to spend my time when I'm not helping rebuild, in the dungeons so I can begin serving my time immediately.

@adwarf: I would suggest we try negotiating with the King of Elbreth. Currently neither side stands to gain if we actually fight, however if we make a deal we both could possibly end up significantly better than if we go to war. Might I remind you that we only wanted a nation to live in not governed by a single man, we don't truly want to fight.

((..Well that went better than I thought. And was hilariously awesome. This people, This is how the d'Avistral's GET THINGS DONE. I can perfectly envision my character torn between shouting at fireproof curtains, and the need for silence.
I am not going to be held responsible for any fallout that results of this. Plan A is ruined. RUINED!))
Return slowly to Elbreth lands before turning south to cross into Miring lands.
The goal here is not to cross any Preston/Miring border within sight of their troops. I do not wish to have to fight my way clear. So my goal is to head west until I am back within Elbreth, then south, then east into Miring.
Reach Miring, Diplomacy ensues.

Knavston nodded thoughtfully. "The... Alchemist, yes." The idea of a man who could conjure fire without magic was a queer one to the Grand Master.
"One must always be wary of those whom have control over the elements. It is not always a sign of corruption, there are those who have such abilities who also have good in their hearts."
Knavston paused a moment as he considered his advice carefully, "The punishment seems to fit his transgression. But I would keep a close eye on this individual."
He clutched at the golden flame-shaped pendent around his neck, a habit he had developed whenever he needed a moment to think, "Ensure that his intentions are for the betterment of the people. And not for his own ego. Then you will truly know his soul."

Before I go to bed, just ruling - the two 'supply train' regiments will arrive the same time the various noble regiments do.  Why?  Because you ordered their construction as you started the siege.  Time delays, yo.

(Off for now.  King can GM in my place for the night.)
