Quote from: Ztah Envoy
(roll: 6) You raid 6 Ducats You raid 3 Ducats from the town of Silverbranches in undefended Silverbranch Province.  Your raiders carry away slaves, cattle, bolts of cloth and other high value goods from the town.

(roll: 2) The lords of Brighthall respond appropriately, pulling 2 regiments of infantry from their more central lands and stationing them in Silverbranch to defend against future incursions.

(However, thank you for making the roll for me!)

Quote from: Shizume
(roll: 3) Whilst the bandit chiefs are unwilling to ally with you fully, they will support you if you attack the present army.  They refuse to renounce their claim on the recaptured lands, however.

(roll: 1)  Your envoys are not only seen by the Crown troops, but loyalist spies report the exact details of your forces and agreements back to Commander Draven and Lord yl Marchis!

(( Um. I don't know, really. Lord Trubaldsome is some minor noble with too much time on his hands, and as he wasn't the first son of the King of Miring, he has nothing better to do than serve the king of Elbreth.  :P
I shoulda made that more clear... ))

Then you arrive in King Thatkid's court as a noble from Miring, wishing to defect and join his glorious side.  Probably because you have no land or money in your own country, what with being a third son and all.

Shizume:  You attack Draven's Forces with the aid of the bandit chiefs, giving you a total army strength of 3 and a +3 modifier to your roll.  Make your roll, and when one of the Crown commanders has made their roll (with a +2 modifier for their armies) the battle will be resolved.

((Adwarf, your character reminds me of the anarcho-syndicalist peasants from monty python XD))

Once the door opens a knight walks into the room.

"I am Sir Taric the Just Milord, I humbly come to you and bend my knee in your service milord. I have arrived with my armoured swordsmen a few nights ago. We would've arrived earlier if it weren't for a lack of horses, though we've found a decent replacement for the time being.

I humbly swear to serve you uuntil my last breath my liege."

Declaring a new Kingdom:  If allied independents have enough clout, they can declare independence.  This requires them to own at least five parcels of land within the same province.  Declaring independence is instantaneous, and whoever the independents elect instantly becomes king of the new Kingdom and has all the powers of the original King (pertaining to the new Kingdom).  It is very likely that the old king will attempt to destroy the new kingdom once created.
i don't think you have enough clout

Nobody owns enough land to declare independence.  There are no overshots in an opposed battle roll - whichever side rolls higher wins.  When the King returns, I would appreciate a list of who is and isn't an accepted noble.

Quote
Battle for North Elbreth:  5(2+3) vs 8(6+2)

The battle for north Elbreth is a victory for the Crown!  One regiment of Royal troops is lost, but you may choose whether it was yl Marchis' personal guard or the 2nd Royal Regiment that was destroyed.

The bandit chiefs are utterly crushed in the battle, losing both regiments of peasants.  Shizume's personal guard escape into the hills.

Quote
Whilst there are no undefended towns within your reach, the regiments pulled out of the province of Brightwatch have reduced that province's armies to a mere 2 regiments.  The Brighthall provinces within your reach are Brightwatch and Silverbranch, both of which are defended by 2 regiments of soldiers.

Question. Can people who own basic land make Markets or Towns? If so what is the cost?
