Stroking his bearded chin, he considered the King's question thoughtfully. “Most wooden structures burn beautifully, My liege. There is little rain in the mountains so I imagine these walls would be no different.”

He looked over his soldier to see if he could catch a glance of the walls through the doorway to the tent as he paused to consider the course of action. “They would still hold the advantage in terrain and you risk the fire damaging the rest of the village. But if that were to happen they would be forced to come out and fight us.”

"Yes I do. Most high quality Alchohol burns good, put a bit in a cup and put a torch on it, it should flare up, if it doesn't it isn't worth it.... But if we have the time and the stores, we could ferment some, we can make very good burning Alcohol simply by fermenting corn or barley and then pumping the alcohol through burnt wood... Make a few hundred bottles of this stuff and fling it at the walls. Then send out a torch bearer and have them light the stuff up. The wall will burn down and probably a few houses. Then they will be weakened because:
A. They have small amounts or no water.
B. Burning a town is chaotic for the townspeople.
C. They will seriuosly be angry afterwards. Mostly at their leaders."

Ask for permission to recruit a medicore brewer.

The King grinned. "I like this plan. You've permission to hire a brewer, and I shall spend the necessary funds to acquire what stores of fermented barley and corn that can be had from the people of Elbreth. What is destroyed can be rebuilt, and the people here will know the punishment for harboring bandits and worse," he replied motioning to one of his runners that they should return to Elbreth with orders to purchase alcohol and, if possible, hire a brewer for Kain.

Spend between 1 to 2 Ducats (Iituem's Choice) hiring a brewer. Spend at most 5 Ducats on fermented alcohol.

(( >.< I'm just thinking how much easier it would be to send waves of soldiers at the walls ans just use those 6 ducats on buying replacement troops))

OOC: But Knave, this plan is so much more bad ass! It also cuts down on lost life, and the lives of his men are important to King Erik.

Filius, I don't see why not.

OOC: We can, but if we really want to destroy them this is probably for the best. I imagine it will be at least a little difficult to get them to catch, so dousing them in alcohol will probably help. Maybe a +1 or +2 bonus to the "starting a fire" roll?

((rags dipped in alcohol then rapped around arrows would be much more effective, no need to damage the walls when you can flush them out))

"Excuse me my king, I am going to go tell my personal gaurd to assist me in digging a firebreak trench in front of the camp. Unless your majesty has any qualms about it?"

Have my personal gaurd dig a meduim depth trench a mile in front of the camp or however far away I can be without being within a mile of the outside of the town.
