The King's Court, Early Winter...
"The next person in line to speak, your liege, is a...Ludwig." Bjorn called. A moment later two guards escorted Ludwig into the throne room, which was bustling with courtiers, guardsmen, and village-folk. From atop his throne, King Erik waited for Ludwig to speak.
Later...
"My King, a Jarod Thunderblade wishes to meet with you!" Bjorn called into the throne room. The assembled courtiers fell to a hush at the name. Even in Elbreth, as far removed from Mirish politics as it was, the people had heard at least some word of the duelist's exploits.
A moment later, the man was ushered into the room by the guards. King Erik made no move to stand, a purposely bored expression on his face as the duelist was brought before him. "I have heard of you," Erik began, studying the duelist disinterestedly, "And of your father's...exploits alongside my own. Welcome home."
Even Later...
The King was impassive as he gazed at the man, some self-proclaimed knight who's hauberk was stained with blood. "I neither know of you, or if I can trust you." Erik replied calmly, "Why would I put you in such a position? Instead, you may describe the attack to Commander Leif, and he will lead his men in hunting these criminals down...assuming his guard has not already heard word of such a massacre."
In the Rusty Pick, Early Winter...
(Meng 2) You find no further information about the missing adventurer's whereabouts, though someone mentions that his two guards haven't been seen or heard from in some time, either. (6) You do hear mention of a raid on Stonewood two seasons ago, however, and rumors still abound of cave people who sneak up from the south to take away naughty children.
In Southern Eelspine...
(Kytuzian 5) You find a bit of flint amongst the rocks, as well as some other stone that you might use to make a spark. You're also able to procure some brush and wood without any of the raiders noticing. (3) Luckily, the raider's are hardly able to fill up the entirety of the cave, and you're able to find a nice niche in the areas further back. (5+1) If the Nahk wants you to remain in the front portion of the cave, he and his guards are too busy greeting some more raiders who have arrived at the cave to escape the winter weather, they are accompanied by what appears to be a captive Suulian family -- all bound and gagged.
