Prior to his departure on a mission of diplomacy(unless it actually IS Trubaldsome going).
"Well, As we have a number of potential avenues we can explore. Firstly we could invade the Weyland Highlands to claim more land. This however may have the unintended effect of unifying the leaders there. Its certainly worth considering, but not without also expanding our army to at least double its current strength. I doubt a draft will be in any way effective at dealing with our overpopulation unless we also squander some of our troops in a fruitless attack.

It would be prudent to approach one of our neighboring kingdoms with offers of trade, in order to secure another source of food (And this is one of 3 things I will be angling for if I go)."

A middle aged man with a scar running across his face approaches adwarf. "My name is Jorm. Me, and some others with me, have come from the kingdom," he says, "your speech moved some of us and we believe in your cause for a kingdom ruled by a council. We wish to help you. There aren't many of us and we nearly ran out of supplies looking for you in these harsh mountains. However, some of us are trained in combat. I myself was once a knight for the previous king. If you wish, we're willing to join your cause and I shall lead the men that I brought with me."

...And yes, I'm here just to post on B12 in RP posts. Can't get geekier than that.

1. How much will a wall cost,a nd what bonuses will it yield?
2. How much will making a town cost?
3. How much will making a mine cost?
4. How can  increase success chance when trying to secure more land with my soldiers?
5. How much will it cost to herd sheep,a dn use them to make wool clothing?

Spoiler: OOC (click to show/hide)

Sir Taricus' runner arrived shortly after the changing of the year. A light snow had fallen on the ground, and as the two great doors to the audience room were opened to allow him entrance a light dusting followed him. Though the King was pleased that the rebels had been found, his expression remained grim. At once, a runner was dispatched to the General's estate in Sheepy Hollow, bidding he make speed to convey with the king on how the threat might be dealt with. As well, the King quickly signed off 2 ducats to the purpose of raising infantry regiments from Sheepstead, Sheepstead Markets, and 2 parcels of Open land.

Needless to say, more was on King Erik's mind than witchcraft, or justice, when the young man was brought before him some days later. He stared down at the man for a long moment, and then rose to his feet. "You have been brought before me with charges of malicious witchcraft, a grave crime indeed," he began, his right hand resting on the pommel of his longsword and his left hand making and unmaking a fist, "Explain yourself, boy. And begin with your name."

Before Terenos and Drua set off on their missions of diplomacy, a lone runner rushed to meet their joint column bearing a letter. It reads, as follows:

"Name? Right I have one of those, um Mahtan Darwin Elensar, your... king."  "You shall address him as my liege"
"Oh right sorry, his liege" Mahtan tries his best to give a lavish bow, but mostly fumbles do to his current being man handled by brutes. "And I'm not a witch, seeing as well one I'm a man, and men are warlocks.  Second witchs don't exist, at least not as far as I know, and I know.. quite a bit.  If I do say so myself."

Hikari looked at the group, and said "Welcome to the Shadow's Circle the more the merrier I always say. At the moment we are working on gaining more lands, and funds, but I have a mission for you, and your men go to the Z'tah Raiders in the steppes, and bring them an offer of an alliance. Of course tell them that they can not own any lands in Elbreth, but taht we will help them gain lands in the steppe so they can rule over it. Also request a regiment of soldiers to come, and stay in our lands, or for them to stage an attack on Elbreth so that they draw attention away from us."

Terenos looks over the letter, as he awaits the final preparations. He nods and calls together the regiment "We march at dawn, to Preston, on a mission of diplomacy."

((Hehe "Ire" I love it!))

((The word archbishopric in this context brings to mind a sort of Vatican City, a holy state composed of monks and priests who live simply and frugally but aren't afraid to take up arms for whatever particular god this world has/believes.  I don't see Suul as a super-rigid place, as a city-state composed of the religious that isn't brimming with wealth probably has to accept all sorts of secular trade and activity, monitored by priestly orders of course. I'm gonna roll with this interpretation cause it seems like a more unique concept than another bland city, but if there's issues, let me know and I'll rewrite this.))

Drua casually slings her bags over her shoulder, one filled with maps and the other filled with jars. A diplomatic mission to the Archbishop was certainly going to be interesting, seeing as how some of the more extreme deacons and priests took a rather dim view of her profession. Some even had the gall to slander even basic alchemy and medicine as witchcraft! Thankfully, the place wasn't run by those fools and if any of them did try anything, they might have a bit of difficulty getting through the regiment. There were entire monasteries devoted to her craft, and if those hard-working men and women were allowed, then she figured she would be fine.  She stands in front of her band of troops, reads the letter to herself, and then looks over the force.

"Alright. We're heading out a mission to establish relations with the Archbishopric of Suul. If anyone does anything stupid, there is going to be severe consequences. I will be, and I expect everyone else to be, on their best behaviour. Let's move out."

With that, Drua began the march to Suul.

Return to the King's side the moment the runner appears at my esate, bring my personal guard as he likely needs me for military action. After getting all the details known Kaguro speaks up. "Sire, I beleive it would be in our best interests to send overwhelming force to rid ourselves of these rebels for good. There is the added bonus of the fact the mountains have little to no claims on them, they could prove fruitful for mineing operations."

King Erik slowly nodded his head, eyes cast down onto the map and table which he and the General was discussing their plans around. At Kaguro's suggestion, a thin smile appeared on the ruler's face. "A solid plan, General. I can see now how you so handily defeated those bandits." He paused a moment, and then looked up at the General: "In concordance with the idea of overwhelming forces, I intend to ride out with four regiments of infantry with which to supplement Sir Taric's forces. Naturally, someone must remain behind to defend the capital. I imagine your personal guard, and the regiment I will leave behind, should be enough...though you have permission to spend three or four ducats should an emergency arise."

The King paused once more, studying the map for a moment before his eyes flicked back up to meet General Kaguro's. "I intend to see this fool executed on the spot. With my own eyes. Unless you have a better plan to go about this?"

2 Regiments are already on their way to provide reinforcements for Sir Taric. Provided Kaguro has no objection/alternate strategy, the King will leave with the other two regiments immediately after Kaguro's next post (I need not respond, though I will if I'm still awake).

OOC: I imagine having the King you're trying to overthrow personally ride out to slaughter you might be a bit demoralizing. Similarly, I imagine fighting alongside your King is probably pretty good for morale. But I'll leave the decision of whether or not it actually effects the rolls to Iituem, as I'm not exactly impartial in this matter. (For that same reason, I'm not providing answers to your question, adwarf. Rulings should be made by a neutral party, imo)

Lord Trubaldsome just happened to be lounging against a pillar a short way away as the King spoke to Kaguro.
"Leaving the Kingdom at such a time of unrest, your majesty?" He said, a worried frown crossing his delicate features as he moved closer to the table, casting aside the chicken leg he'd been nibbling at.
"Surely not? The population is getting far too out of hand, the peasants are out of control. I would most strongly advise against leaving the Kingdom, at least..." He paused a moment, idly studying his perfectly-manicured fingernails, "...Not without a strong leader to keep the peace."
