After the night spent at the tavern-shack thing, Kytuzian walked back, and began to formulate a plan.

"Guards, we are moving out," said Kytuzian. They quickly rushed to grab their equipment, while he did much the same. First, he donned the protective lamellar armour he had brought with him from his homeland. He pulled out his bow case, took out his composite bow, and strung it. Then he buckled his sword to his side, and put his quiver on his belt. Kytuzian also hid his collection of knives throughout his body.

Swinging up on his horse, Kytuzian and his guards headed for Stonewood.

Go to Stonewood and see what rumors I can dig up there.

You ask around about any rumours of note.  [6] As it turns out, there are plenty of wild stories in these parts.  Number one was a raid on the town in the next valley, Stonewood, by Suulian mercenaries.  After that there are the usual drunken stories of finding seams of gold in the hills, rumours of ghosts at the ruins of Shizume's Camp (not far from the Cyclicist Temple) and even talk of some families of bears in the region.  The wildest rumour from one perspective was of a town of hideous cave-people much deeper into the range, that steal children at night and eat them.  Since nobody has lost any children lately, you don't give this one much credit.
i just noticed this
i find the hideous part quite offensive, and eating children? HAHAHAHA

((Why is that offensive? It's not like you're the cave people))

This was the summary I gave the last person that joined. With some new updates.

Quick Summary.
The kingdom was founded.
General Kaguro moved to drive out the bandits in the land.
Rebels joined forces with the bandits but fled to the Eelspines when they were defeated.
The king led forces to crush the rebels.
While the king was attacking the rebels Trubaldsome and Kaguro fought for power in the city.
The king defeated the rebels and killed their leader. (The religious group known as the cyclists sacrificed him and built an altar there.)
Upon returning to the kingdom, the king had to deal with Trubaldsome and Taric, while also receiving news from his ambassadors/spies about the lands of Preston and Miring.
According to the reports Preston was planning to take over Miring and Miring asked for the kings aid.
The three countries are now at war.
Elbreth's army is basically in the capitol of Preston and is fighting there.
Miring has very few troops left and aren't quite sure what they're going to do.
The most recent development is that it was discovered that Trubaldsome was a spy against Elbreth and was plotting to take over both Preston and Miring (At least that's what I interpreted from the posts. I'm a little confused about it because my character has nothing to do with that plot line at all.)

The Weylanders
One tribe of weylanders has been steadily expanding and is now almost at the point where it can call itself a kingdom.
They were recently contacted by Suul to raid Elbreth but the Jarl declined the offer and is now on his way to inform Elbreth about the offer.

The Ztah
The Ztah have moved from their plateaus that are to the south east into the eelspine mountains and are slowly expanding.

Attempt to capture one parcel of land from the Munros. Retreat if the odds of us winning seem unlikely. Use the berserker raider regiment and the personal guard. (Would Corv take the personal guard? He only mentioned taking the heavy regiment, and he didn't keep them with him during the battle.)

I think this was missed.

((I don't think it was missed. No one's just updated in a while. By the way, if you're trying to capture the land so you can raise a regiment I'm also trying to develop a parcel of land for myself. If I'm successful you could use the manpower from it if I in turn received 1 ducat's worth of slaves. That way we both win.))

((Let me know what I need to change, I'm unsure of the regional geography and such, as well as the politics. 100 pages is WAY TOO MUCH to catch up on Its always a pain to get started in a well-established RP :P)

"What is the name of your kingdom?"
The Imperium Arkhan'a
"What sort of terrain is your kingdom located in?"
The tribal homeland of Arkhan'a is seated upon a plateau betwixt two majestic mountains, with a lake to the south and great hills spanning the vast north. ((Perhaps I can be on another island? I'd love to change things up by being from a more distant, undiscovered culture. It'll explain why I'm showing up so late and allow me time to get used to mechanics before I get sieged :P))
"What year have you ascended to the throne in?"
((Unsure what to put for this))
The Year 310 ((???))

I should really adjust the first post to make it clear to new players; only the very first player was allowed to start out as a King.  New players start out as individual citizens, either independents or subjects of one of the established player kingdoms (of which there are very nearly two - the Jarldom of Weyland getting very close to King status now).  The rules are due for a rewrite for clarity, but there should now be plenty of options for playing as a character now including individual combat rules, the ability to raise your own personal guard regiment (though doing so without a grant of nobility from the King is considered illegal in most kingdoms), the ability to start a business and roleplay a craftsman, trader or other kind of specialist, the ability to spend a game year training a skill (read: mini-quest).

There's plenty of scope, but if you're determined to be a king you can also found a kingdom or try to seize the throne.  Tip for those trying this:  Gather supporters.  You will have a hell of a time doing it on your own, though Ghazkull has (with a significant portion of luck and skill) all but managed it.  NB:  Anyone who does become a King will have co-GMing responsibilities within their Kingdom.  This takes the load off the main GM (me) and the original King (at this moment, thatkid).

Responses and rules updates in about six or seven hours when I get back from rehearsals.

((Hmm, understood. After cruising a few pages I can't find any specific posts on how to format your application for minor lordship, I'm assuming there's no template? I absolutely don't mind being a traveling knight with a little bard in him, aspiring to become a lord :P))
