Well, even if the wheat doesn't work, my lord's army is invincible, and could kill the trolls with ease.

And I know everything one needs to know about farming.

Of course not. Would you sink as low as trying to get our Lord to make a biased descision not of his own mind? I was backing you, untill I saw, even with my support I had more backing than you. But it is ultimately our Lord's descision.

"You seem willing to poison, explode and burn our own country, rather than allow the Trolls to have it, Advisor Kilakan. A sound strategy when fighting in enemy lands, but not one to employ in our own!" (Advisor Kilakan, -1 support, -1 favor)

"Humble Farmer Nirur Torir, you are forgiven for your foolishness, being but a lowly farmer. Trolls are in fact, cunning and dangerous opponents and would not fall for such a simple ruse."

"Advisor Ochita, despite your previous foolishness, this idea shows merit. Magic and subterfuge work where simple steel may fail." (Ochita, +1 favor)

"I have heard enough-Talarion is my new head advisor! He will bear the responsibilty of all the decisions I make. Or, we make. Together. You know."

For the new Meeting Room, he decides on Advisor Kilakans war table-the King is very fond of maps-and Advisor Talarions marble throne. Head Advisor Talarion is given credit for the idea, and told to procure the items in question. (Kilkan +2 favor) (Talarion +4 favor)

"Advisor Shootandrun, your skills at seamanship seem sufficent. Have you knowledge in naval combat and merchanteering?"

"BnR0cK, your strange style of dress and manner of speaking do not tell me who you are. What land do you exactly hail from? We have need of a new jester...as you can see. Tell me your a bard. I would *love* to have a bard."

Rumblebumblings-on-windywaters is rebelling? Didn't we put down rebellion last year? Who was responsible for that?

"Advisor hubris_incalculable, I am glad to see you safe, anyway."
He hears someone squaking about military strategy, and responds
"Advisors Furtuka! I order you to retake my town, while sparing as many lives as possible! You will control one army, and if thou proves thyself, perhaps you will gain the position."

He motions for Cartographer Kinsen to approach. "I do have a job for you-the land of the Polar Trolls to our North needs to be mapped. This might take a few years, but can I trust you to lead the expedition?"

He notices the spellcasters are ready.

"Necromancer, let fly your terrible magic!" (effect=3)
The Necromancer sways and chants, but she loses her concentration when the mage whispers "Amateur"
The corpse of the Jester is still, but then it trembles and stands, swaying slightly. The King wishes he were more...animated. Advisor Furtuka earns an ominous glare. (Furtuka, -1 Favor)

"Now, Magician, bind his spirit!" (effect=4)
The magican seems more prepared, and he claps his hands once. There is an intake of air, as the Jester spirit is forced back into his zombie form. This pleases the King, greatly-the zombie seems to be moving faster now, and he credits Advisor Taricus for implementing the plan. (Taricus +2 Favor)

Advisosr Taricus recieves a smile and a nod from the King. "If you could have it, what position would you desire, Advisor Taricus? I am eager to hear your opinion"

My lord, I suggest we employ the farmer as the Minister of Agriculture; he may not be a noble, but he is well qualified, and he knows the people. He would offer many useful insights to you. Having him would also increase our productivity, thus bettering our great nation.

I was admiral of the fleets when I was younger. I fought and defeated my enemies in three wars. I also did merchanteering during the times of peace, and after only six years the wealth of my kingdom was infamous across the Sea. Our merchants were buying silk in the Great East and selling it at four times the price in the northern Kingdoms. Before the Pest, the islands of my family were the most powerful of the Western Sea - for we had little land army, but our fleets were great and well equipped.

I am the forgotten warrior of Asgard, an angel that has fallen from Heaven, I have seen perfection, but alast it did naught, but leave a wisp of a memory for my sin was great I had intruded upon a place meant for the souls who had passed on not the guardians of this world. For this sin I was cast aside, and now I am hunted my the hounds of hell. I am Tresla al'Hitan Kishma, The Wielder of the Gaia's Sword, and Former Angel. With no purpose of my own I pledge my life to my lord may he accept me.

"my lord, rioters will riot as long as a strong way of showing them that your rule is wise isn't proven. Show them that you can forgive there acts if they cease immediately, and that you will take into consideration their demands. And after a party, they will have even forgotten they wanted to riot...and to show simpathy, their best men will be taken into the army...to remove strong arms from their own village, in case of future riots, and to change the minds of the youth which the army will take, and make them feel that thy lord is truly the greatest. Thus convincing them, and their parents, to no longer dare question your rule...without shedding blood, from any side...concerning my tactical prowness i still recall the time i won a seemingly unwinnable battle against fair superior enemy troops, with better equipment, and with artillery, by using ambushes in the woods and guerrilla tactics...those were nice, cold times..."

My Lord, I will go around the nation and secure the needs of the people. I apologize for my upcoming absence.

The king enjoys a relative moment silence from his quacking advisors while watching the new Jester Zombie attempt to clumsily juggle throwing knives. It's very amusing to watch.

"Can anyone tell me, why have we outlawed Necromancy? It seems a useful skill to have. As Zombie Advisors, you could all serve me for eternity..." he looks at Advisor Ochita with an semi-evil gleam in eye.

"Oh, very well-you are in charge of our fleets, Advisor Shootandrun. Our fleet is hardly up to snuff now, and our coast is oft under attack by Ice Gnoll Cutters. I want you to have this under control in a year-establishing trade routes for silk and spices would please me greatly. Not that I can expect that much, at least until we find a warm water port..."

"Asgard...if that is your name! Man takes no side in the endless battles of Heaven and Hell, save to defend ourselves. You may make yourself useful by joining the cartographer on his mission to the Troll Lands."

"Advisor Shadenight, you speak with wisdom. I do not wish to embroiled in a long guerilla war with my own people. You shall accompany Advisor Furtuka on his mission, and oversee negotiations with the rebels."

"I agree, Head Advisor Talarion a farmer should look after farming concerns, but his bloodline is not royal though. I do not want to encourage the people to think they can rise to far above their station in life...

Yes, you are excused Head Advisor Talarion. Do not do anything to embarass yourself...or me!"

To Advisor Taricus's proposal, he agree. "Head Seneschal, I declare you. I expect the feast tonight to be extra impressive. Feels like I've been eaten lukewarm cod for a month..." The King finishes, muttering.

------
Advisor Furtuka demands the surrender of the rebels. (effect=5)
Seeing they are outnumbered and encircled, the rioters begin to retreat back to their homes. The Kings men only engage in mild looting and plundering.

Advisor Shadenight is left with the decision of how to deal with the surly peasants, and after feasting to the leaders of the riot and listening to their demands, (effect=4)(effect=6) he decides to recruit many young men into the army, and confiscate their weapons. Both actions are fairly effective-the people are willing to negotiate.

Rebel Demands
-Humble Farmer Nirur Torir be made a royal advisor
-Taxes lowered during planting and harvesting season
-Reimbursement for trampled crops and burned steads by the Kings Soldiers
-Goblin and Troll Raiders hiding in the Hills be cleaned out.
