((Dwarmin, I don't know if you noticed, but I had edited my last post (since I didn't want to doublepost) to include mention of an upcoming raid, which it seems Furtuka followed, which is how he got the scepter he just gave you. Should I assume the raid was successful or what should we do about that?))

OOC: you can see I'm lucky when I manage to get twice a "1" in only one turn ^^

The advisor was thinking. The battle had been a disaster... Damn civilians. Fleeing instead of fighting - they did'nt even try to get in formation. And the captain Whittaker... If Shootandrun survived and managed to get back to friendly territory, the first thing he was going to do was executing the bastard. He looked around. The village was behind, the sea was in front. No possible escape on foot. In what remained on the docks, there was the gnolls ships... And two baleners! A plan was formed in the mind of the advisor. Whispering to the other prisonners, he said:

"Men... Hear me! I know I got you into trouble, but I need you to listen! See those baleners, at fifty feets? None of you can pilot them, eh?"

The others shook their heads. Of course they did'nt. They were militians or guards, for the best part.

"Well I can, and I can do it well! If we manage to get to these ships and take control of them, we could go away! But there's even better. There are oil lamps on these ships, all lit. If we use them to set their fleet on fire, they won't be able to get after us..."

The others started listening well. They wanted to get back to their families - and the advisor could help them. Shootandrun smiled, and added something.

"...And if one of you manage to set the nearest house on fire, I'll give him the rank of the captain Whittaker when we get back home!"

He had said that because if he managed to set the village on fire, he could say the battle was a relative success - after all, if everything went well, the fleet would loose only one balener, and the gnolls would have lost both their fleet and their village.

"Alright, listen to me. There are only four guards - and they have harpoons. Gnolls don't run fast. At three, we run towards the baleners, we get in the nearest and throw the guards overboard - there's only two, I don't think they like the smell - you throw lit oil lamps (as much as possible) on the near ships, and if we have a brave, he goes to the nearest house and sets it on fire - we'll wait for him. If there are weapons on the ships - harpoons, knives, axes, bows, anything - you take them and you defend yourselves against potential attackers. Every one ok with this plan? It's our only hope."

No one had objections. They were still working a little bit, but you could see they were getting ready to run.

"Perfect. One. Two. Three."

((I guess the raid was a success, and Furtuka pretty much claimed some glory by giving the pick of the treasure to Lord Hearth himself. You'll have to tell the Lord yourself how you did if you want the guild to get some credit as well. Furtuka probably shouldn't have autoed the outcome though, but It's too late to change now.

EditL Just noticed your edit. Missed that one entirely. ))

((Ah, you were talking about the scabs Ochita had hired. I can work with that, I guess.))
The leader of Project Dragslay again visits Kadzar.
"Sir, I have bad news about the raid."
"Oh, don't tell me there was another wipe."
"Even worse, sir. When we got there, there was already an adventuring team there and they had already killed the dragons. We believe they were the same team who defeated the bandit leaders."
"Son of a- Okay, here's what's going to happen. You're going to take a squad with you, find those scabs, and let them know that if they don't join the Guild immediately, something very bad will happen to their kneecaps."

Keep them out of the guild, they'll be cheaper to hire that way, and they won't whinge about guild fees and such making them happier.

((@Dsarker: New rules!

Talarion will have a map of his place up soon-you'll get a good look at it, and decide how you'll enter and search for the item. The more men you try and sneak in, the less time you'll have to search before having to leave-the guards are patrolling after all, :P

While Talarion cannot directly confront your thieves, he can kill, expose or capture them with traps. You'll get multiple attempts, but the Lord will call it off if he feels your embarrassing yourself.

Talarion's strength is deciding what to use as defenses-if you can guess these, and prepare appropriate counter measures, you'll have a better chance. Both you and Talarion essentially have unlimited resources within reason for your respective missions, but Godmod items will backfire awesomely.))
