The King yawns, and points to BnR0cK "So, your a monk, or something? Sounds dull. And dangerous." He glowers. (BnR0cK -2 approval)

He orders Shootandrun to unhand his alchemist "Advisor Peglegpengeuin, this is what happens when you threaten the king. Explain your discovery...let's hope it's better than that 'Lead into Gold potion' that got the last alchemist disemboweled."

He turns to the conversation on diplomacy "Advisor Hellhound, what you say is right, of course-but there's no need to rub their faces in it." (Digital Hellhound +1 approval)

I like the idea of hiring adventurers-I wanted to be one when I was young.... so let it be done!" 400 Gold is taken from the treasury and given to Ochita to hire mercenaries. (describe what sort of adventurers you will hire) (Ochita +1 approval)

"But Advisor Shadenight also makes a good point-we must dispatch soldiers to deal with the heavy fighting, and leave the hardest jobs to specialists." (Shadenight123 +1 approval)

"Humble Farmer Nirur will be allowed to join our ranks-as a lesser member-and given Head of Agriculture. I put his actions from now, on your head Advisor Shadenight."

"I guess we can do both of your suggestions on taxes, Advisors Nirur and Digital-taxes will be rearranged to be less during planting and harvesting, but overall, they will pay more in the summer and winter for the privelage."  (Nirur, Ochita +1 approval)

"I will not pay any reperations-it's a blatant attempt at squeezing more blood from the stone, and they brought it upon themselves, like Advisor Hellhound said." Advisor Taricus sanctimony earns him an eye roll. (Digital Hellhound +1 approval) (Taricus, -1 Approval)

Can I have a full report on the number of ships in our fleets, and their category? I only found information about the merchant ships.

A crusty old Ice fisher who doubles as your new assistant brings you papers running the sum total of Windheaths navy. It's not very good. Most of the duties are handeled by the local milita navy, who split their times between defending their land, and earning a living-their numbers and skill belie a siginificant weakness-the vessels are scattered up and down in small settlements along the coast, and most of the villagers tend to defend their own ships and homes, and pray the Gnolls attack their neighbors instead of them. Shootand runs letter is dispatched. Here's hoping they answer back.

Spoiler: Windheath Navy (click to show/hide)

The King is having trouble deciding which person to be military leader, but he leaning more toward Advisor Shadenight right now.

An insane beggar named Stabbymcstabstab enters the hall unannounced, with no explanation. "Guards, seize him!"
((OOC: Really, I can't even read what your typing.))

Quote
Advisor Shadenight is currently being considered for Military Leader, and has offered tale of his military prowess, particularly relating to non-honorable combat, and demonstrated skill at diplomacy. The King is leaning toward his appointment. (+2 Support)
Advisor Furtuka is currently being considered for Military Leader, and has retaken the rebelling town with minimal death and damage to the locals. (+1 Support)

Advisor Digital Hellhound is being considered for Head Diplomat, and his hardline toward the Kings divine right has earned him a small amount of favor. (+1 Support)

Humble Farmer Nirur Torir is being considered for Head of Agriculture, but is not a noble, and will likely need to be sponsored by a royal advisor. Head Advisor Talarion has voiced his support, and the king is considering his words. After some discussion, he's agreed to allow him the position, allowing him to be adopted at a royal guest by Shadenight. (+3 support)

Cartographer Kinsen and Fallen Angel Asgard are being considered for a suicide mission to the lands of the Man Eating Polar Trolls, and have not disagreed. They will depart soon, NEVER TO RETURN. (+2 support)

((@Taricus: Eeeyaah. I'm not sure how much lore I wanted to make-this is technically NRDL's game to run, so I was keeping it limited to general geography and local events until he weighed in or gave me free reign.
Edit: Right now, we're just figuring our appointments before turns start, I guess.))

The King orders the insane beggar to accompany both the Map maker and the fallen Angel to Ice Troll territory. "Do not come back until you've finished your mission!"

((OOC: Wow Dwarmin, it's like you read my mind or something. I was thinking of fleshing out my character a bit more with two companions to follow me on a awesome journey where I logg it down as a "Urist tale" and you just gave me two. Though I never thought they would be as bipolar as a fallen angel and a beggar?))

Ehum... So... Let us start our journey to the north then, shall we, Asgard, StabbyMcStabStab? Shall we meet at the northen gate?

"the army should not be sent on tax collections. It's a waste of money. Tax collectors are there to have the job done, not the army. And the guards of the cities will certainly do their jobs. Without having to call the army. If you seek peace, you must prepare for war, that is true, but there is no need to rush or to abuse the power of the army..." i say. While to Ninur, "ninur, you are now one of my family. Do not disappoint me..." i comment

"I quess we prepare for departure. I will wait for you at the gate please do hurry." with that Asgard walked up to the balcony, and stepped off the side droping to the ground, and landing perfectly on his feet the spot where he landed having suffered no harm. As he walked away he stretched his arm out, and said "Come my sword is needed." and from the earth rose a sword of the purest steel with a hilt made from the first Oak tree.

*Ochita leaves, for a day or so, and returns.*
"Sire, I think I have found a party of adventurers who are willing to clear out the hills. They seem experianced enough for the job."

*He then gives a list to the king, which has information of the party of 6, the first is a paladin, who while being a paladin, he isn't stupid or overbearingly zealotus. His patron god is a generally accepting guy, so there should be no problem there. Then we have a pair of twins, One is a druid, and the other is a magi. The 4th member is a cleric to the god of.. Harvest. He does seem to be an interesting fellow.. And the last 2 are just a couple of hired mercenarys.*

"As you can see, my lord this is an interesting party, but I have a good feeling about sending them off."

OOC: My character can't use his actual powers as about ninety demons would be hunting him down if he used much more than what he just did.

Your suggestion for cave-clearing is good Ochita.

And Shade, are you implying that the merchants have a right to just bribe the tax collecters themselvs while the peasants starve?!
I'll all for watching a starving wretch but I'm not accepting it unless it's by the king's own mouth.

"no, i am not. i never imply things. i prefer to do things, or to talk clearly. and it's not like all merchants are corrupted individual. They make a living by selling things. So, instead of sending an army off to be sure they are not bribed, why not simply assign paladins or the likes of cleric which place the law above anything else as their escorts? in that way costs are reduced and profit increased."

That could work, if we could stop the temple collecting the tithes while on these runs. You know how much the bookkeeper saves us on those.

*Shootandrun reads the report, with a dark look. When he finishes his reading, he is'nt looking too happy.*

"I'll have to think for a while about that... If you excuse me, my lord..."

*Without any more words, he walks out of the room.*
