In the land of Kayrn, there are numerous countries. Numeron, Lakshat, Jidar. These, among others, claim these lands as their own. Noble families vye for control. Always, their political war rages. Between enemy countries or inside a single countries. Numeron, One of the most powerful before, has been struck down. Not by an invasion, but by a civil war. Civillian armies, trained by rebel soldiers, armed and armored by stolen goods. It's been a year since this first started, and the Kingdom is getting desperate. The Rebellion has started taking cities. They're getting more powerful with every passing day... The surrounding countries are ready to swoop in and clean up both sides of the conflict. Unless the Rebellion is stopped now, everyone in the country will die. You have been drafted into the army, to help defend your country against the Rebellion. For Numeron!

You get 55 points to distribute among each field. Minimum is 1, Maximum is 8.

Strength is, basically, muscle power, explosive and constant. The higher this is, the more damage you can do with a single strike and the more things you can do pertaining to strength. Damage is determined using strength; (Damage = 1dX + WD, where X is strength score, and WD is Weapon Damage. For example, using a Hammer with a damage rating of 12, with a strength of 5, the total damage on a direct hit would be calculated by rolling 1d5 + 12. So, say a 2 is rolled, the total damage would be 14)

Agility is the ability to change directions; It has to do with all kinds of movement, i.e jumping, climbing, running. In combat, it is what allows you to dodge. To dodge, you have to roll Agility against the attacks Speed rating. (Projectiles all have high speed ratings, comparitively.)

Speed is the sheer speed of a person. Quick Strikes? Sprinting? Speed covers these. (Running in a straight line is under Speed, running around corners and zigzagging is under Agility) Each point in this increases the Speed rating of your attacks by 1. Each point of Speed over the enemies Agility gives a -1 to dodge. (For the attacked)

Dexterity is the fine movements of the hand and arms; It covers crafting, and most ranged weaponry usage. Each point of Dexterity below the difficulty rating of a ranged weapon gives a -1 to aiming and speed rating of the projectile (Some weapons negate the 2nd negative bonus).

Endurance determines how long your character can do things without getting negative bonuses to actions. After your stamina falls to 0, you will have to start rolling against Endurance to keep your bonuses at natural levels. Endurance also helps etermine stamina.

Toughness is antithesis of Strength. Or rather, damage. Toughness is rolled against the damage dealt to see how much damage is avoided. (For example, if damage dealt is.. 10, and the attacked has a score of 4 Toughness, they would roll on a d10 and have to get under/equal to 4 to take 6 damage instead of 10) Toughness also helps determine health.

Intelligence determines how quickly one learns spells and abilities. A roll against the difficulty of the spell/ability is made. (If the difficulty of the ability is, for example, 9, and you had an Intelligence of 8, you'd have to roll underneath/equal to 8 on a d9 to learn the ability. But if the difficulty is, say, 4, then you don't roll to learn it.)

Charisma pertains to how easily you can persuade people. Each person will have a difficulty modifier which you roll charisma against to see if you succeed.

Willpower pertains to Psychic attack and defence, as well as a final saving roll against negative modifiers in the face of injury/exhaustion. On a successfull Willpower roll (Against an appropriate difficulty rating) you can ignore the negative modifiers rolled against for 1 turn. Psychic damage lowers Magical Power, Perception and Endurance for a certain amount of time. As per everything else, when rolling Willpower against a psychic attack, if the Attack's Willpower rating is 10, and yours is 5, you'd need to roll  5 or below to avoid taking Psychic Damage.

Perception is how one sees things. It is used for Search rolls, and can be used to see through illusions, (If you have a Willpower higher than half the difficulty rating of the Illusion, you can start rolling to see through Illusions)Magical Power determines the damage of your spells, and the speed rating of your projectile spells. A basic spell would have a damage of 1dX * 2, where X is Magical power, and a Speed Rating of 2dX - 1, where X is Magical Power. Different spells have different ways of calculating their Ratings, however.

Personality: Hikari prefers to keep things to himself, and be quite, but if his allies are in danger he will go to great lengths to protect them even throwing his life away so they may live.
Background: Hikari was abandoned as a child, and has ever since remained distant to everything, and everyone, so that he could never be hurt by someone he cared for by sealing away his emotions Hikari could steal, kill, lie, and cheat without showing any emotion, having any doubts, and do it with a blank expression on his face. The orphanage he lived in was poor, and because of this osme of the children weren't fed properly, or died by freezing to death, and because of this Hikari toke up a job as an Assassin, Spy, and Thief to keep the orphanage from shuting down, and leaving all those children to die. Through various missions the only scars he every took were on his arms, and he used this to show that he was never failed to keep his enemies infront of him at all times.

Personality: Quick-thinking, active, confident unless wounded, cowardly when hurt badly, won't settle for cheap sub-par items, frugal, friendly, curious.
Background: Tarran is a young mage, son of a very wealthy trader, and a VERY wealthy family. Despite that, he never really had time to talk to his father, and so he decided to leave home earlier than usual at the age of 17. He has always wondered what magic was like, thus he went to a school of fire magic within the first week. He has since blown through many classes at faster-than-average speed, his personality and intelligence making him a scary opponent to face. He finished at the age of 24, then he was promptly knocked out and dragged away into the army.

Specialty: Magic - Temporary Object Enhancement, the ability to make an object more effective for a short duration.
Appearance: She is 165cm (5ft5in) and 57kg (126lbs). Light brown short hair that covers her eyes which are green-grayish.
Personality: Poala has a very fickle nature and does never do the same thing for a long period. If someone tells her to wash the sheets she might do that, but if it's too much for her you are sure to find her playing around somewhere else. The only time she will do what she is told to do is when she can experience a new sensation. Poalas current fascination lies in experimenting with temporary object enhancing, or what she like to call: !!Fun!! Stuff.
Background: Living with her parents and two older sisters, one older brother and twin siblings there is no boring day for her. She do help out around the house when she is playing hooky at the small inn she is working at and does her work at the inn when she can't take the squabbles from her sisters and brothers.
Though at some point Poala found out that she had a weak affinity to magic and could use it to win a few competitions against her older brother in stone skipping. With it being so subtle no one ever discovered that she was cheating and would stay so had she not heard of travelers talking about magic users and those who teach them. Getting into a heated argument with her parents that she wanted to leave the house and learn magic she was denied.
Never one to give up once she had decided something, Poala ran from home and started her vagrant life surviving by challenging unsuspecting travelers with her magic with food as prize.
Origin: A small village west just two days from Peque.

Appearence: A man of average proportions at 5'11 and 160 pounds, Arkon is not muscular, fat, or skinny. He just looks average. His face is well defined, with a broad forehead, high cheekbones, short black hair, and almond-shaped brown eyes. He has no real distinguishing marks or features, and is easily lost in a crowd.
Personality: Arkon has the strength and endurance of stone. Very stable and independant, he has a strong will and projects a calm aura. He doesn't go to emotional extremes, but still can get angry, annoyed, happy, etc. He tends to think in a clear-headed and logical fashion. If given an order by a higher authority, he will not stop until either he dies or completes the order. Honor is his guideline, and he thinks and acts carefully to preserve both his own and others.
Background: Arkon has been a patient and quiet person his entire life, following orders given to him with little question from the small things like his father telling him to help haul in the wood and his teachers telling him to study magic more because he showed such great facility with it to becoming a mercenary at a recruiter's insistence. He does his job, he gets paid, and he spends what little he has to while putting the rest away for the future.

Personality: paul does not rush in recklessly, he attempts to weigh the consequences before acting, . He places the value of life highly and will kill only in the direst straits, and will be more inclined to jump in if it can mean saving a life. Paul does not speak much, but if he did he would tell you that he hates people using strength on those without any.
Background: Having recently finished training in a disciplined form of fighting, that started when he was very young, he cannot even remember his parents. Paul is walking the continent to meet the people and enjoy the beauty of the natural world.

Appearence: Under the armour, he is tanned, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a goatee, and his hair is windswept. His body is muscular, most especially his arms, which are bulky from the work required to use a warhammer effectively.
Personality: Ulric favours law, knowing the evil that can come of chaos. He does not neccesarily view freedom as wrong, but freedom for the sake of freedom is something he cannot abide.
Background: Ulric prefers not to speak about his past, but if pressed, he reveals that he was in the army of Numeron previously. He left after a battle with another rebel group, almost ten years ago. He doesn't go into why, but his friends know: it was in this battle that he was forced to kill his brother. He hates those who cause rebellions.

Appearance: A sailor through and through, he has a long salty colored beard, scars and tattoos everywhere.  Though is face has crease lines from smiles and laughter.
Personality: He loves comradeship, after years relying on the crew to keep him alive, and has a great fondness for honest people.  He hates thieves, stupid people and those who would kill innocents.
Background:His home was raided by pirates when he was very young, and he joined a crew of sailors to try and catch the scum that murdered his sister.  To this day he has been hunting the black sails, and has killed many pirates and bandits, but yet to extract his revenge on those who raided his home.

I could've sworn I said it in the start of the Stat System spoiler... No I didn't. My Mistake. You have 55 points to put into any field you want, minimum of 1 and maximum of 8.

Also, no, the starting city is Nefarin, and you choose your own equipment. One weapon, one set of armor. (Basically, everything you can equip... you can choose to dual wield if you want, for example, and choose two one handed weapons to start.)

Edit: Actually, you won't start in Nefarin. You'll be moved in the introduction to Kaen, a village out near Tensarel which is near the latest town taken by the Rebellion.

Appearance: She is 165cm (5ft5in) and 57kg (126lbs). Light brown short hair that covers her eyes which are green-grayish.
Personality: Poala has a very fickle nature and does never do the same thing for a long period. If someone tells her to wash the sheets she might do that, but if it's too much for her you are sure to find her playing around somewhere else. The only time she will do what she is told to do is when she can experience a new sensation. Poalas current fascination lies in experimenting with temporary object enhancing, or what she like to call: !!Fun!! Stuff.
Background: Living with her parents and two older sisters, one older brother and twin siblings there is no boring day for her. She do help out around the house when she is playing hooky at the small inn she is working at and does her work at the inn when she can't take the squabbles from her sisters and brothers.
Though at some point Poala found out that she had a weak affinity to magic and could use it to win a few competitions against her older brother in stone skipping. With it being so subtle no one ever discovered that she was cheating and would stay so had she not heard of travelers talking about magic users and those who teach them. Getting into a heated argument with her parents that she wanted to leave the house and learn magic she was denied.
Never one to give up once she had decided something, Poala ran from home and started her vagrant life surviving by challenging unsuspecting travelers with her magic with food as prize.

-Touch spell. Whenever an object have been enhanced a random item modifier will change. This means that the stones with item modifier [Damage Rating: 1. Difficulty Rating: 2. Speed Rating 10] has one change, for damage and speed it goes up, for difficulty it goes down. Had this been a piece of armor such as [Toughness Rating: 2. Torso Armor] the armor would get one additional in Toughness rating. Can be cast on others. Does not stack when used several times on one item. Appearence: A man of average proportions at 5'11 and 160 pounds, Arkon is not muscular, fat, or skinny. He just looks average. His face is well defined, with a broad forehead, high cheekbones, short black hair, and almond-shaped brown eyes. He has no real distinguishing marks or features, and is easily lost in a crowd.
Personality: Arkon has the strength and endurance of stone. Very stable and independant, he has a strong will and projects a calm aura. He doesn't go to emotional extremes, but still can get angry, annoyed, happy, etc. He tends to think in a clear-headed and logical fashion. If given an order by a higher authority, he will not stop until either he dies or completes the order. Honor is his guideline, and he thinks and acts carefully to preserve both his own and others.
Background: Arkon has been a patient and quiet person his entire life, following orders given to him with little question from the small things like his father telling him to help haul in the wood and his teachers telling him to study magic more because he showed such great facility with it to becoming a mercenary at a recruiter's insistence. He does his job, he gets paid, and he spends what little he has to while putting the rest away for the future.

Personality: paul does not rush in recklessly, he attempts to weigh the consequences before acting, . He places the value of life highly and will kill only in the direst straits, and will be more inclined to jump in if it can mean saving a life. Paul does not speak much, but if he did he would tell you that he hates people using strength on those without any.
Background: Having recently finished training in a disciplined form of fighting, that started when he was very young, he cannot even remember his parents. Paul is walking the continent to meet the people and enjoy the beauty of the natural world.

Background: Ulric prefers not to speak about his past, but if pressed, he reveals that he was in the army of Numeron previously. He left after a battle with another rebel group, almost ten years ago. He doesn't go into why, but his friends know: it was in this battle that he was forced to kill his brother. He hates those who cause rebellions.

Personality: He loves comradeship, after years relying on the crew to keep him alive, and has a great fondness for honest people.  He hates thieves, stupid people and those who would kill innocents.
Background:His home was raided by pirates when he was very young, and he joined a crew of sailors to try and catch the scum that murdered his sister.  To this day he has been hunting the black sails, and has killed many pirates and bandits, but yet to extract his revenge on those who raided his home.

@Kilakan: I don't mind flavor items at all. In fact, I encourage them. I like my RTDs to be driven by story and RP, thus why this is my first (out of 5, I believe) that has a preplanned system. When you start not listening to me is when I get annoyed. But yeah, so far everyone's characters look good.
