Ah, boo. I was looking at the past few months' worth of changelogs, and I noticed Toolsmithing was its own skill now. Also see a bunch of other changes I don't like.

Things I've learned so far:

A pretty good fighter build:
1. Axe
2. Heavy Armor
3. Preservation
4. Tactics (optional)
5. Alteration (optional)
6. -Free-
7. -Free-

Don't take block.
Grab a 2 handed axe as soon as you can, cast aegis, harden armor, and aid on yourself (if you're having trouble casting the spells change into your starter linens/get nekkid), and the alteration buffs if you took it, then charge into the goblin camp and start cleaving the shit out of things.


Mining is very very boring, oh so very boring.
Also if you took mining as a starting skill you'll have enough mining skill that you won't be able to gain xp from mining/smelting copper ore. Good luck finding tin.
The beach south of the starter town has red clay, fine clay, and coarse sand that you can use to grind XP on. Maybe you'll also be able to find some limestone up in the mountains

tin is there in a cave with 2 trolls guarding it and 5 inside. Lots of pigs to hunt outside

North of the Starting city past the mountain,keep going and go to north side of hill west of the river.
Copper is keep going east past the crater in road to cave on  north side, south has gobbos to smash.

If you're making a Crafter/Gatherer character, consider picking up Hiding/Stealth as well. This'll keep you safe from monsters and enemy players in the PvP areas.

Please keep storing resources so then we can build a decent city right when we take the Building Goal seriously.
Also, selll as much other stuff as you can to make monies so you can donate to the Architecture cause

I tried running it. < 10 FPS at the login screen, 2 at the character creation one.

Doesn't matter. Race only effects starting stats.

I've been letting it spin its wheels while I struggle with input lag for about ten minutes now and it will not go above 3 FPS.
