I've been getting at least 10 windows security bullshits every time I try to run the game now if it even runs because it's trying to open au.exe ao.exe a.exe ac.exe be.exe and some other crap.
It's being opened by dawntide specificaly. And no I don't have any viruses or anything on my machine, I had actually just done a complete drive scan not 30 minutes before.

I posted in the tech support section, probably the wrong topic but my problem isn't worth an entire thread to me.

You could just deactivate windows security, since it sucks.
I use webroot, but there is a free program that is almost as good called spysweeper that I can link you to if you want it.

Also windows security as of three or so years ago gives you an immediate option to allow things to happen, so I suggest you let the program run.

Also don't be surprised that windows is kinda paranoid about applications that haven't confirmed with microsoft that they aren't illegal garbage.  DF didn't do that either, its just one big exe so you never see stuff like that.


Uh, if that didn't make any sense, heres the redundant statement:
Turn off all of the windows security stuff in whatever form they have presented it to you, then get something better.

If you don't want to do that, tell windows security to let that program do what it likes.

EDIT:

And also windows firewall may be messing you up when you try to log in.  This is a beta game, it wont keep working if something like that happens, it will just crash and burn as it will for most problems.

Yeah, I finally just said screw windows security, I've only used it to allow only programs I want running to run, that's the only feature of it I've liked. Either way I finaly got my character created.

Suddenly crashed out, and every time I try to log back in I get 2 "Error" windows on the task bar and a white screen when I click on them (can't actually see what the "Error" things are trying to say, just white screen).

Currently finding this a incredibly buggy and laggy experience, losing everything repeatly is fn annoying. Might stop playing if the constant crashing does not go away.

Something is wrong with the farm area west of town. While going past there I crashed and every time I log back in I crash again. Same thing as earlier, two white screen error messages that don't display.

Nope, only if you delete the old.
By the way, you should look at the private tab at the bottom right of the screen, and use /tell (Player) to contact one of the Leaders to invite you to the faction.
