Is cinepaint much good? GIMP can be ungainly to use with a tiling window manager, so I would like to find an alternative.

EDIT: It seems that cinepaint has floating windows too. Nevermind.

Cinepaint was originally a fork of a very old version of GIMP.  I guess it inherited that feature.

A quick search of programs similar to MSPaint showed Xpaint, KolourPaint, Pinta.  Thank you Wikipedia.

What is more, single-window mode is in development for GIMP 2.7. Yay, I look like an ass!

I have wasted many hours playing FreeCiv, should be in 'buntu's repos. There're Windows builds too, but somehow they never felt quite the same to me...

Same, except I use EasyPeasy special distro for the EEEPC.
Do not like it, but you have to admit it works nice on the tiny screen.
But it messes up stuff like GIMP!
