Wut? it's not as if he can't play- save's up. Don't use the old save, at least.
Gosh darn it, read the prior page.
Besides, It'll probably be a few days until he'd even start writing.

EDIT: okay, okay, here's your frakking journal.

The traps have been readied, the defenses completed. Now, with the Great Citadel almost finished, we cannot be invaded from above. Some final touches remain, but these hazards have been walled off for the time being.

I've just been told that the humans, who had been trading, have just left. Though the guards accompany them, it's never safe to walk right into the hands of the zombies.

One zombie's hands, however, are already full.

Cheese? Why? Maybe it's squishy enough to be seen as a brain.

The military is sent to remove any zombies loitering about the cage traps, and repeatedly discover goblins trying to use the siege as cover for their own crimes.

Meanwhile, inside the caves, an unpleasant creature has decided to migrate.

Another one of similar kind, however, has made its way into the fortress. I have no idea how, perhaps through an open floodgate, but the military takes care of it as well- slowly and extremely painfully. Assuming, of course, this dread creature feels pain.

After a great amount of time standing around the cage traps, the military has defeated the zombie horde. Hurrah. The goblins decide to capitalize on this opportunity and send a force of former horsemen.

Perhaps we can use these weapons. Urk Dasha arrive later. These enemies, too, will be captured and later indoctrinated into our forces, once that animal trainer gets schooled in hypnosis as ordered. We figured he's be the best dwarf for the job.

Time passes by. Jobs are issued, children are born, our civilization enjoys a brief, month-long respite.
It is not to last.

Well, the trainer has failed in his attempts. Ah, well. We'll just have to do this the old-fashioned way. RELEASE THE KRAKEN PRISONERS!

The population is...not pleased with this course of action. They were told that we were going to dump the prisoners into the lava pipe, but instead the morons tried to take them out before the lava was reached, and escapes occurred.
There were no casualties, it seems, and all of the prisoners have been killed other than the goblins, who were left caged to be stripped of possessions beforehand. They will need dealt with- by the next administrator. I have been asked- at axeblade- to vacate my position after this miscommunication. They have glimpsed, at times, my outbursts of possession, and believe I have ordered these prisoners set free in order to sate the thirst of the Blood God. I always knew that I would never keep it hidden for long, but I had assumed I would be deposed because of some outburst of violent insanity. How disappointing- how dwarvenly it would be to go out in a wave of bloody glory. Ah, well. I still live, at least- capital punishment is not the dwarven way. Unless, of course, you violate orders. Then you'll get a hammering.

I have been disgraced, but I will still walk these halls. That, at least, is better than my previous fate at other fortresses. I will make a living here as an operator of siege equipment, should the need arise. Farewell, good reader.
Sit vis tecum.

But you never see a movie where a terrible coal plant accident causes a horrible devastation, do you? Nope, everyone seems to think that nuclear plants get their energy by smacking live atomic warheads all day or something.

I read everything that's posted here. >:(
I just wasn't sure if you wanted the story to match up(meaning your final entry, then kopout's turn), but you're right. I'll just notify kopout but ask him to wait to post an entry until you put up yours. :D
EDIT: DARN IT, NINJA'D! Sorry for rushing you!

It's fine. I really got caught up with other 'life stuff' for a bit, but I found some time. Anyway, Kopout, enjoy.

If you are wondering how the FB got into fort, there are three paths in the exploratory mining area.

One of them allows walking creatures in and the other two would let flying FBs in.

?

I opened the save and found the breaches.

Also, the top of the fort is not secure from flying enemies until the stairs that lead to the top re covered.

On breaches- the mined were heavily sealed- I CHECKED! What did you do!?!?
On stairs- if you checked, the stairs' access doorways are blocked, awiating a safe time to fix that issue.

Not my turn. Didn't do anything. Just looked at the current save to see the modifications to the fort.

The stairs are walled off from the courtyard but the stairs are designed with entry tunnels four levels below the courtyard; which are not isolated.

The mineshaft access points I saw might be a wonky graphics pack thing.

I will comply.
On stairs- Oh, yeah, those. Well, those can be walled off too, or given a bridge airlock at least so that we can use it for construction access in the future. Not that we won't be changing worlds after your turn, so you really can release the HFS with no repercussions.
On breach- pics? I really have no idea how those got there.
