They're actually fungiwood trees (I think) that may have gotten messed up with the phoebus pack.

1. Let stoopid hoomans get caught in cage traps.
2. Strip stoopid hoomans of equipment.
3. Melt down stoopid hooman equipment for iron.
4. Forge iron into proper dwarf-made equipment.
5. Build cages with humans in an enclosed space
6. Link cages to levers (5 cages per lever)
7. Station military dorfs in the room with the cages.
8. Lock doors.
9. Pull lever.
10. Dump corpses and corpse pieces on a corpse stockpile.
11. Butcher upper body parts that are above the threshold
12. Tan the skins
13. Fashion the bones into bolts.
14. Fashion the tanned skins into backpacks, robes, whatever.

Alternately, if you don't need/want the military training (or the hassle of linking,building, stripping), replace steps 2-9 with:
2. Drop the stoopid hoomans from a high place.
3. Collect their equipment and bits.
...melt, forge, butcher, carve, tan, sew as appropriate.

What if we made a complex trap that combined the clowns from the cotton candy tube a 40x55 enclosed room with a bridge operated hatch to the clowns,

so humans get lured into said room, open hatch. Sit back and watch hungry clowns tear them apart.

To put the clowns back to a safe loction, drop a kitten down a trapdoor hatch channel with water at the bottom so it survives. then open the bridge door, and activated a pump to wash the kitten down.

also I have no Idea if Clowns eat invaders. But I do know they eat wildlife

My point that I failed at making is that for some reason, the fungiwood trees got messed up and appear as yellow Us with umlauts, usually that symbol is used for human spearmasters. sheesh.
