Journal of General Kisame

I am sad to say that we lost two members of the military. Helga and Janus gave their lives bravely in the defence of the fortress. They both died of their injuries after fighting a blizzard man. Helgas husband Roboboy was struck hard by the news. I was worried that he might injure himself or others. Janus was a follower of Dariush but he redemed himelf by defending the lives of everyone in the fortress. In light of this I have recruited more dwarfs and am equipping them with battle axes instead of their bare hands. I have also recomended that professor Loyd have the masons build a defensive wall in the caverns and seal up the holes in the castle. He also ordered some traps to be built in the chasm to reduce an incoming enemy's numbers. I would rather not have to bury more of my men, so I agreed. i just hope its enough, for I have a sense of forboding.

I have designated the holes in the castle walls to be sealed up. The cavern walls have not been designated but if you hurry they will be completed before the FB shows up. I have set the military to a one month training rotation, so they train for a month, then are off for a month. I have set the same orders for the second squad but no one is in it yet. I built a still, a kitchen, and a butchers for food and drink. Several dwarfs are unhappy but keep pumping out the booze and engrave the dining room and you should be fine.

Fantastic ending, a bit long of a wait, but at least I didn't have to savescum. I'm starting my turn as soon as I finish typing. I'll be doing a season a day, as it is my custom.
