Song that best relates to fortress mode

Easy,

"Drunken Lullabies" by: Flogging Molly
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8Zs1xfxaq4

Lyrics:Must it take a life for hateful eyes
To glisten once again
Five hundred years like Gelignite
Have blown us all to hell
What savior rests while on his cross we die
Forgotten freedom burns
Has the Shepard led his lambs astray
to the bigot and the gun

Must it take a life for hateful eyes
To glisten once again
Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess
Singin' drunken lullabies

I watch and stare as Rosin`s eyes
Turn a darker shade of red
And the bullet with this sniper lie
In their bloody gutless cell
Must we starve on crumbs from long ago
Through these bars of men made steel
Is it a great or little thing we fought
Knelt the conscience blessed to kill

Must it take a life for hateful eyes
To glisten once again
Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess
Singin' drunken lullabies

Ah, but maybe it`s the way you were taught
Or maybe it`s the way we fought
But a smile never grins without tears to begin
For each kiss is a cry we all lost
Though there is nothing left to gain
But for the banshee that stole the grave
Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess
Singin' drunken lullabies

I sit in and dwell on faces past
Like memories seem to fade
No colour left but black and white
And soon will all turn grey
But may these shadows rise to walk again
With lessons truly learnt
When the blossom flowers in each our hearts
Shall beat a new found flame

Must it take a life for hateful eyes
To glisten once again
Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess
Singin' drunken lullabies
Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess
Singin' drunken lullabies
Singin' drunken lullabies

I know, but I was more focused on the "must it take a life for hateful eyes to glisten once again" bit :P

Damn, the song is good for fortress mode, right down to the instruments they use.

I have to disagree with that song choice even though it is a very good try.

Some how Alexander James Adam's March of Cambreadth is what is going though my head

Axes flash, broadsword swing,
Shining armour's piercing ring
Horses run with polished shield,
Fight Those Bastards till They Yield
Midnight mare and blood red roan,
Fight to Keep this Land Your Own
Sound the horn and call the cry,
How Many of Them Can We Make Die!

Follow orders as you're told,
Make Their Yellow Blood Run Cold
Fight until you die or drop,
A Force Like Ours is Hard to Stop
Close your mind to stress and pain,
Fight till You're No Longer Sane
Let not one damn cur pass by,
How Many of Them Can We Make Die!

Guard your women and children well,
Send These Bastards Back to Hell
We'll teach them the ways of war,
They Won't Come Here Any More
Use your shield and use your head,
Fight till Every One is Dead
Raise the flag up to the sky,
How Many of Them Can We Make Die!

Dawn has broke, the time has come,
Move Your Feet to a Marching Drum
We'll win the war and pay the toll,
We'll Fight as One in Heart and Soul
Midnight mare and blood red roan,
Fight to Keep this Land Your Own
Sound the horn and call the cry,
How Many of Them Can We Make Die!

Well.

Guard your women and children well,
Recuiting counts as guarding, right? They're always close to the military, anyway.

Quote from: Terriwyrm
Use your shield and use your head,
That can't be right. Unless they literally mean bite them with your head.

Fight till Every One is Dead
I have to give you this one.

Children, children, children.

This topic begins and ends with "Sixteen Tons", recorded by many artists since 1946, but perhaps most famously by Tennessee Ernie Ford in 1955, reaching #1 on the Billboard charts.

For me it's "The Death of Jazz". It doesn't make any sense, I know. But I listened to that 12-minute track over and over again wayyyy back in the 2D version and it stuck.

Yakety Sax, especially when FUN happens.

LOL, I actually made a similar observation back when I was having horse problems. It's just so appropriate for the image of a bunch of boozed-up dwarves running in circles or trying to catch an animal or just doing whatever it is that they do when there's the proper ration of booze to Fun.

Keep in mind that the dwarves are essentially alcoholic toddlers, and act accordingly.

Are you fucking kidding me? There's only one song for DF:

Always look on the bright side of life!

Of all the men of Azeroth I must say,
That my least favorite race is the elf.
I’d rather have lunch with a fat ogre,
Than to spend one moment with an elf.
I’d rather take a slime to a homey pub,
Than to toast to an elf’s health.
They tall and purple and all too skinny,
And of this you must be sure,
That elves are the sickliest things around,
And sadly there is no cure.

Ooo…ooo…ooo…ooo!

Stay away from those crooked elves!
They look like women and smell like hell.
So if you would take my sound advice,
Keep a distance of at least ten feet
.
I’d rather go fishing with Onyxia,
Than to go fishing with an elf.
I’d rather go swimming with a dead murloc,
Than boating with an ugly elf.
Their voices are fem and they don’t resemble men,
They’re bodies are void of hair,
And so I’m sure you can understand,
Why they give me such a scare.

Ooo…ooo…ooo…ooo!

Stay away from those crooked elves!
They look like women and smell like hell.
So if you would take my sound advice,
Keep a distance of at least ten feet.

Despite my better judgment,
I once went camping with an elf.
He stole my s’mores and dented my pots,
And made the campground smell.
Of lavender and rose buds,
Such nasty smells they be.
And so I threw him into the lake,
Then went and had some tea.
Ha! Ha! Ha!

Ooo…ooo…ooo…ooo!

Stay away from those crooked elves!
They look like women and smell like hell.
So if you would take my sound advice,
Keep a distance of at least ten feet.
