This site's getting less legit by the second.  Not the fault of the creator, but people are starting to get fucky with it and creating giveaways they can't possibly honor, giving out CD keys for Ruse they got for free via Ubisoft glitches, shit like that.

The ruse thing is completely legit.

Is it just me or does the site randomly stop to exist?

I doubt the site can take the great strain of the exponentially exploding popularity of it.
And it's certainly not just you -- the hosts have taken notice of it because at one point when it was down for hours, loading steamgifts.com returned a page with "Be back soon." in 12 point font Times New Roman.

I'm guessing there will be an ultimatum by the end of the week.

Free-to-play games are like the fountains in NetHack. At first, they look refreshing, but when you approach snakes pour out and eat you.

I've gotta wonder how the hell these guys are getting 30 copies of Frozenbyte Collection. Are they just taking codes from the HFB or something?

There was someone who didn't know how the site worked yesterday, it might be like that.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

The lesson: don't let your kids use stuff they're not old enough for.

At least until they're teenagers or something. Nothing can stop those from doing whatever they do.

The list might be good to put in the OP.

I know it's unrealistic, but I can't help but imagine little bearded babies for dwarves. In my mind, they come out of the womb fully bearded. That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.

Kinda seems like it should be necessary to have a legit giveaway in order to enter... Maybe that would cut down on the fake entries.

Not sure if that interests anyone here or not.

Also; by god the community has grown a lot. You're now looking at 900+ for some of the more popular games. Sadly the rate of giveaways has not increased with population, though you can't say this was hardly expected.

http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/fflbu/metro-2033/page5

With 5 hours to go it has around 970 entries. A single game.
Wouldn't suprise me if it hits 1000 by the end.

There are also 49 comments which if assuming they're all different people means 49 people bothered to thank the uploader.

The times: they're a-changin'

Hells yeah. Just won an uncensored Left 4 Dead 2.

Also currently signing up is disabled but I'm fairly sure it will be coming back, so if you got any invites and you haven't signed up it would be best to horde them.
