Which I find interesting, given Cult showed support for the whole 'if you invite someone and they screw up, you take responsibility for their actions' concept. You'd think he would be pretty ready to at least temp ban people.

I'm going to keep an eye on how this community goes. If it is still around and has some qulity rules in place by december I will definitely be doing some giveaways. Until something changes though...

I was also planning on waiting until I had some wins under my belt to contribute.  Seeing as those chances are getting slimmer and slimmer every day with anything that isn't Portal or Frozenbyte Bundle pulling 500-1000 entries, I doubt it's going to happen and the more I think about it the more I don't think I'd contribute even if I did win some games.  If I'm going to be spending my money on someone else, it's going to be someone I know, not some guy I've never heard of who'll probably let the game rot in his library.

Like the Russian guy who won my last giveaway? 0 playhours in the past week with nothing but free games and Team Fortress 2. Makes me think it's a alt ideling account they used to have.
No proof of this but it does look suss.

I just saw a thread about Russians selling accounts again. Cult acutally had to ask if the people who bought the games should be banned.
Clearly they should, by buying the invites you're only making the problem worse. It's like partipating in the ivory, drug or slave trade and saying it's fine because you only bought the products.

Some of the excuses I've seen to not ban them are laughable.
"They don't speak English, how would they know." Just the people we want. More people who won't read the rules and post up fake giveaways.

I've also posted a few giveaways but have doubts as to whether I'll actually be able to win anything besides the bundles/Portal (actually, I've only managed to win the frozenbyte one so far, ha ha..). I have a copy of Terraria to post at some point but it sort of discourages me to know that most of the people who enter it will just be people who'll never contribute back.

It's pretty hard to find a giveaway that I don't own the games, are interested in or are not god damn freaking Humble Bundle 3-2 (wouldn't mind the first 1, missed it).

I don't think I've been below 200 points since the time I've joined, but hell, I've won Left 4 Dead 2 so I really have nothing to complain about.
