You should have used kobold for Steve since they're small.

Either way pit all of us versus the colossi and see who wins.

Size doesn't help with dodging, but makes you more likely to be squished in my experience. So I picked the least likely to be squished and decently agile (dwarves are below average) race.

Dodge 3 knife 1 striking 1 (if possible equipment: silver knife or if you're feeling kind--carving fork, bronze mask, and me own two horns)
