Jeez, that is a nice-looking map. And that brings up a problem: it's going to be a huge hassle to keep that map "persistent" with ASCIIDraw, since any characters we draw on top of it will overwrite the terrain. Is there any way to get multiple layers in ASCIIDraw?

No way to do layers I think so I guess we just keep looking at the original picture. Also who is taking the first turn or will I be the one to start?

Well... ASCIIPaint has multiple layers and is a bit more sophisticated than ASCIIDraw, it could save a lot of headache if we used that. It's got  wonky colors, though.

Link for the map in AsciiPaint format and link for the single layer.

Note: AsciiPaint does not have any way to customize my way of floodfilling a selected area which makes it a pain to "randomize" the ground. No copy-paste either. Takes so much more time for me to make a map when compared to AsciiDraw (even if it is 20 mins instead of 5). Atleast now I don't have to remember what was under a unit whenever I move it from one space to another, unless I forget to select a different layer. That's when the shit hits the fan.

On another note: Any resemblance to a skull, a fetus or a digestive track you may see in the map is pure coincidence and should be considered as such.

A previous note: Anyone who knows how to customize the lua to make it possible to use any other background color when you do the autofill? Link to my lua file.

AsciiDraw VS. AsciiPaint: Doesn't matter which one. Both have their pros and cons. Maybe if I get to know AsciiPaint better I might use it, but still, it can't beat the scripts AsciiDraw can make. Yet.

I vote AsciiDraw, but it's not that big of a deal. AsciiDraw is easier and simpler to use, though.

Well ascii paint sound easier to keep ahold of and we have a map for it and a majority of players vote it so...I guess we switch.
EDIT:Also would you mind explaining how to open and edit the map in ascii paint?

Here's an idea: we could set up a dropbox folder to quickly pass the project file to the next player, instead of re-uploading it. Good idea?
