Alright who's ready for story time?

The first of Slate:

"The nobles demand gold!" The king slams his fist onto the alder table.

"Sir, the area is depleted of all metals! I think gold is the least of our problems!"

"I AM THE KING! AND WHAT I SAY GOES!" The kings face is getting red from massive amounts of yelling.

"But, with the Werewolves, Goblins, and Illithids at our gates and armor and weapons running low what are we supposed to do?"

"We will do just fine under MY rule!"

"But, the peasantry is revolting. The military is running out of recruits and the farms are invaded with that damned magma cult!"

"I know what we will do... Send seven peasants..."

The second of slate

"Sir, you requested us?"

"Why, yes, yes I have. I have decided to make a new outpost for the glory of the Labored Hammers. The locations is 17 or so days away. I recommend you make haste, we have your supplies ready."

"Okay.." said the peasant with a frown on his face.

He was sad... he was leaving his home, the only home he had ever known. He was leaving his friends, his shop, everything he had worked for just because some damned noble says he has to! He knew that it would be gone anyway, their enemies were minutes away, the revolution was growing stronger, famine was spreading. Quite frankly his home was hell...but it was his hell dammit!

Whether he liked it or not he had to flee anyway. Even if the revolution had prevailed he knew it was just a way for it's leader to take the crown, and the cycle would continue until everyone was dead. At least this way maybe he could make a new heaven. Un-corrupted, peaceful, prosperous. At least they had a chance out here, in the wilderness. It was time to set out though, he would take stocks and meet his new companions once they arrived until then he decided to keep his head down and try not to piss anyone off...

Katana closely scanned the horizon looking for the stray animal that would feed the group. She saw birds fly out from a little grove 70 feet or so north. She gathered up Jacen and G and they made for the grove. The closer they got the louder the beast was. They all crouched down, prepared to ambush the monster. Katana lifts up a branch and sees it...an elephant, the nemesis of the dwarfs.

Seeing the opportunity to get more food for the journey G rushes out yelling his indistinct battle cry. He hops on the back of the beast and implants his iron axes into the elephant. The elephant starts bucking and rampaging through the small grove. Jacen moves in with his spear to block its way out. Katana then moves in for the kill. She slashes him in the eye and continues all the way through the brain to exit the back of the head. G proceeded to get the bones, meat, and skin of the beast.

fourth of slate

Conan the barbar- I mean Conan the miner is sitting along the camp fire with the others determining a plan to succeed from that damned king. Conan loved his home, he mined himself a nice little hide away to put his rum in so he could have regular access to drinks. Sure it was also a smugglers den but it's not like he smuggled anything that bad. Just some pig iron bars that's all. He hopes that if this new outpost makes it they declare it the capital. 'Then with that snooty king comes and says he demands a castle we can drop him down a chasm!'

You actually referenced the game where I actually took the name Conan from. Some others (in different games) thought I took it from Conan O'Brien, and one or two guessed Arthur Conan O'Doyle (Author of Sherlock Holmes). I took the name mainly from O'Doyle and the PS3 game.

If I could, I'd like to design the workshop level.
