Why do people forget very important things? They as a race have lived there for millenia, or at least centuries, as so, they have developed a resistance to the cold. She could probobly go swimming in a place like this, and the water would be too warm...

Evergod is right. Our race has obviously evolved to being suited to living in cold places, and mister possibly omnipotent-GM-question-asker told us to go outside, so we probably should.  We don't want to miss an important opportunity!
