Right on, I can fill in a few gaps then as this is what I do:
-The project was renamed to ADOM II...several...months back---though indeed the full rebranding across the site remains ongoing as they hit various snags with Wordpress and such IIRC on top of just coming up with new themes and the like. Granted, for years and the first few releases it was still using the JADE moniker, but ultimately it just made more sense to relegate JADE to just being the name of the engine powering the game, which it is, and go with ADOM II as the next in the series for ease of the playerbase to come.
-Deluxe starting with 0.3.x was the plan back when that draft of the Deluxe page went up and IIRC even further back when the first updates or so to the project roadmap began to percolate as to what would be contained within the order of events of the 0.2.x, 0.3.x, 0.4.x, and so on, release lines. As far as I've seen, it is literally in stasis as the crowdfunding generally knocked the chair out from under them in terms of the overwhelming generosity of the playerbase, to say nothing of the unusual timing as to the way it happened that triggered various mega things. Personally, IMO, I would be somewhat surprised to see the Deluxe manifest in this 0.3.x line---more likely with all going on and just in a sense of "oomph" would it show up instead within the next in line Arcane magic stage, or surely by the Divine magic stage at the latest.
-As to the efficacy of the funding campaign in terms of what it will bring to the game beyond tons of fixes and modern builds of the game meant to play as nicely with Win7 and the like as fresh games made in the here and now---all of that is still being tabulated. The current slate among the community's reckonings at least includes:
- NotEye Support
- Custom Tiles
- 2 new races
- 2 new classes
- Volcano quest, Rolf quest +5 more
- ADOM Deluxe / Steam release
- Online Highscores and acheivements
- 3 mega-legends added somewhere
- 5? micro quests (not sure of the final count)
- Special map with boss, 2 artifacts, 4 minions and 16 items (Get it done goal)
- 46 artifacts and 32 items (power pledge 3)
- 4 artifacts from the legend donors
- 13 items and 4 monsters (power pledge 2)
- 12 corruptions (power pledge 1)
- ADOM Lite RPG published
- Wandering named monster encounters
- magical statues
-Complete original musical score
- Ultimate Nihilist Ending
So....a pretty fair assortment I'd say that will be rolled out over time these next several months in due course of several updated releases----this is definitely not going to be a "one and done" situation.
-Biskup is spending the next couple weeks getting everything organized, contracts hashed out with his core team members and the NotEye developer, and generally taking stock of things so he can indeed present that plan that his backers are surely worthy of given the tremendous amount of money the project garnered. As you say though, with the way kickstarters tend to work, these sorts of elaborate details can't be as frontloaded as we'd like on account of the general unpredictability and improvisation aspect within. Many of the above mentioned goals that got cleared only happened during the course of Biskup being sleep deprived and frantically brainstorming for further things the playerbase would enjoy beyond his fairly minimal initial designs before he got into the thick of things. It is a very different sort of situation versus a sales pitch with all sorts of What If's accounted for when dealing with a publisher or some such.
