Edit to the EU Orders

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I'd also like to remember my Chinese counterpart that they are supposed to transfer their share of the Jump Tech.

Sheb why do you want to send our refinery fleet to Saturn in stead of Jupiter? They both hold the same accessibility for sorium  (1) and while Saturn has more sorium Jupiter's supply is not running out any time in the next few decades. Plus it will be easier to get the fuel back to Earth as Jupiter is closer. If their is something that I am missing here that would support refining from Saturn instead of Jupiter please let me know I am not really strong in my support for Jupiter I just feel that it is the logical choice.

Edit: after taking into consideration that we are establishing a colony on Titan I withdraw this statement it will be more practical to have the refiners dump their fuel on Titan and then we can shuttle the fuel to Earth or just refuel at Titan

Report of the Science & Technology Committee to the Central Party Committee, Beijing:

Our analysts have been working on the proposal to use our significant edge in guided missile technology to remotely and safely survey astronomical bodies using sensor buoys delivered via a Tiandehui-class ICBM. Our estimates are that at this time, this proposal is not feasible with the current state of sensor and reactor technologies. In order to gather enough geological data to survey even a smaller planet such as Mercury, a single buoy would be need to be as large or larger than the delivery vehicle. The resulting ordnance platform would be twice as large as the launch tubes on our Jin-class vessels, and larger planets would require multiple sensor buoys acting in tandem.

The proposal should be revisited at some point in the future, after significant improvements in geological sensor capabilities, reactor strength, and/or missile drive strength. With improvements in all three areas, a feasible design may be achieved which could be of significant value in extra-Solar systems.

Director Pan Luoli (ooc: My Chinese name  :P )

OOC: Incidentally, the Chinese nomenclature for the planets is fascinating.

Mercury = shui xing = "Water star"
Venus = jin xing = "gold/metal star"
Earth = di qiu = "ball of dirt" OR da di = "big earth"
Mars = huo xing = "fire star"
Jupiter = mu xing = "wood star"
Saturn = tu xing = "earth star"
Uranus = tian wang xing = "Heaven-king-star"
Neptune = hai wang xing = "Sea-king-star"
Pluto = ming wang xing = "Darkness-king-star"

Can't you just shoot multiple buoys?

Still waiting on orders for the US.

Looking at his profile, looks like he's been gone for a few days. How long should we wait?

Also we may want to consider moving a player from EU/PRC which has 3 players over to Japan/USA which only have 1. This will prevent the delay from happening again in the future?

I also edited PRC orders to include the transfer of jump tech to other nations to hold up our part of the bargain.

I'd really like to stay with the EU, as I've been writing up our battle doctrine for the last two days. :p

Weekend schedules are often different. If we don't get orders for the US by tomorrow evening, though, I will delete that nation and carry on with three (or delete another nation and continue on with 3, if someone in singular control of their nation wants to switch). I'm sure there's a good reason Sirus can't post, but LPs have to keep moving, particularly early on.

Yeah, but deleting the US seems a bit... Radical. Especially since they are a interesting nation, using fighter and all. I'd rather have Japan deleted. They're too weak anyway.

If he don't post by tomorrow evening, and the Japanese command doesn't wish to switch over to the US, I'll. Ad screw tha battle doctrine. Also, I'm going to launch my own Aurora Let's Play, but with a few twists. I hope you don't mind.

Not at all! If it has viewer participation like this one, I might even join :)

It'll. Basically, it'll have two factions, each one controlled by a different forum. Oh, and the other forum isn't in english, so no peeping there to see what they're doing. (I'll be doing translation for diplomatic purpose.)

Nice! I'd considered a split forum Aurora LP (Would probably racket the tension up nicely!) but never considered multiple languages.

Multiple language only happen because the other forum I'm active in and that could host an LP happens to be Belgian/French. But I still feel it adds some nice tensions. Also, I like that I can provide bad translation, racketing the tensions even more. :p

Sheb- I have an Idea for your new LP Aurora Game that I feel would make the game very interesting and solve the "alien AI sucks problem" what if you ran the game on the Bay 12 forums as one world say Earth with multiple human races playing a game much like this one. And then have the other forum be located in a different system as an alien race with multiple alien factions on their home world (or we could be the aliens and they be the humans or both aliens it doesn't matter). This would create an interesting political situation and I feel create and exiting and truly interesting game.
