It was the deal we signed: they gave us the Sorium Harvesting tech for a ship.

I wasn't going to say anything that might influence it, but a very nice deal. That's a 5000 point tech.

True, but it did mean that the U.S. got a Sodium Harvester much sooner than they otherwise would have and after all the tech in question doesn't really hurt the US for other nations to have it as well. Plus the EU gave everyone terraforming tech free of charge.

Speaking of Sorium Harvesting would you be willing to increase the frequency at which gas giants have Sorium deposits I think that it will lead to a more interesting game play and allow for quicker expansion.

My edit for the EU's Orders are:

Sodium

Our sodium supplies are dangerously low! What else will we put on our french fries and popcorn?!

Also anyone have an idea about my question?

Did we clarify if Commercial jump engines can jump military ships?

And if so how long would a 10,000t civvie jump engine take to research?

Thanks!

I see that I should start proofreading my posts also civvie jump drive can not jump ships outfitted with military jumpdrives  nor can a military jumpdrive jump a civvie ship

Okay, here's some quick orders for the PRC. If the others want to add or remove to it as they see fit!

I'm hoping you meant a 3000-ton military jump ship. Otherwise, it's going to be a very long build. ;)
And are we planning to use it as a long-range independent surveyor, or just a gateship for other vessels? If it's primarily a gateship it doesn't need grav sensors. I'm kind of intrigued with the earlier suggestion of using missile-borne sensor drones to quickly survey new systems. If we went that route, I'd say we should go a fair bit bigger, so it can fit an extended magazine of drones, extra fuel tanks and enough engines to move decently fast. Just my 2 yuan.

Well I`m pretty open. We could always bring the Luda survey ship with it and double the speed of exploring systems.

And yes 3000-tons ;)

Do we have a cheat sheet somewhere of what our current tech levels are? I'd like to gin up a few designs and test them out.

I was considering doing this, but I'm sure I'll always forget to update it. I might though, don't have anything else to do till I get orders from everyone.

All these constant requests for information are why I offered to upload the save, btw :)

I think once we had the list uploaded once, it would be a simple matter for us to keep track of, just by appending it every turn with the updated tech. Maybe we could upload it as a google doc and we can all help to keep it up to date?

And just to say it again, thank you Breman for running such a complex and awesome Aurora LP, it's been a lot of fun so far! :)

....

That's a really good idea; might also be a good place for the ship list.

Also, I'm pretty sure I'm enjoying it as much as everyone. I love Aurora but the lack of good opposition means there's never much challenge, so I'm really looking forward to where this goes :P. And the lack of screenshots means making updates isn't much work.

Edit: https://docs.google.com/document/d/14IgbawZVASDmhlBMmlmgf4HMC1qpfMNB8wHszc21tOQ/edit?hl=en_US Should do it. Are players offering to keep it updated or should I? :P

Aye, it's in every nation's best interests to keep the doc up to date as it'll allow them to play and design their own ships!
