The stats for Illustrious and Broadsword aren't mentioned anywhere in the thread.
I don't know if they were accidentally edited out of a post or just never posted, but it would be useful to know them.
Here are the original ship stats. I guess I could keep an updated listing, but there's already so much to keep track of.

The Illustrious class frigates are used in an escort role for the Victory; they mount the same level of laser weaponry, but without the missiles or advanced sensors. Nimble but lightly armored, the Illustrious can be a dangerous combatant at close range, but is commonly utilized for point defense support of the larger Victory.

A recent and unproven design, the EU's Broadsword class gunboat has the range, from a starting point on Earth, to make a strike run out to Jupiter, providing a powerful deterrant force for the EU even when their dedicated Navy is required for escort or defense duties.

Japan's navy, consisting of only a single class, is thought by many to be like something out of science fiction. With their poorly understood shields and particle beams, some have accused the design as being a recruitment tool for the military rather than a dedicated warship.
Strategists have criticized the ship's lack of long range weaponry, but the particle beams have the longest known range of any energy weapon, and the speed of the Mirai class enables it to hold the range against anything but fighters. When confronted by missiles and little hope to reach particle beam range, the captain of a Mirai class may elect to simply dissengage.

Converted from ballistic missile submarines, the Jin make almost comically inept spacecraft. However, with their massive missiles using a vertical launch system, a single Jin is capable of a missile throw weight nearly ten times as large as a European Union Victory class; it needs to make excellent use of it, though, as once that single salvo is fired it has nothing left but its light energy turrets.

The purpose built escort ships of the Chinese navy, the Jianghu class is likely to prove very capable at providing point defense, with its high tracking speed guns. However, it is slow for such a light ship, and the short range of its weapons limits its effectiveness in an anti-ship role. As keeping with the approach of the Chinese navy, it is also very cheap.

The massive George Washington class Carriers form the core of the US naval strikegroups. Capable of launching 30 strikecraft, the carrier also mounts three automated anti-missile turrets and a decent amount of armor. It pays for this performance with its low speed, but makes up for that with the speed and range of its parasite craft.

Providing support for the George Washington class is the Spruance class Destroyer Escort, the largest escort ship used by any nation. Very well armed and armored, the Spruance is also capable of matching speeds with the escort ships of other nations; were its railguns more of a match for the energy weapons of other powers, it would be a dangerous combatant in its own right; as it is, the class is limited to supporting the carrier forces.
Strategists are critical of the Spruance design; stating that the escort role could be filled by a carrier's own fighters and antimissile systems. Critics are divided into those who favor a pure carrier doctrine, and those who favor upgrades to turn the Spruance into an independent combat vessel.
Aliens are unlikely to play a big part.
Yes, and once the AI sends its 50th unarmed gate constructor ship through a heavily defended jump point you'll find out why I decided it was better to pit the players against each other than try to do something co-op
