European Union

Europe sends resources for an additional research lab to China. Their Freighters continue transporting automated mines to Mercury.

People's Republic of China

China begins constructing a research lab for the EU.

United States of America

The US 1st Survey Fleet begins surveying the remaining asteroid belt while the 2nd Fleet returns to earth for repair and resupply.

The US begins development of Gravitational survey sensors to search for theorized jump points.


January 22nd

The USA completes construction of two new Spruance class Destroyer Escorts.

February 7th

Europe refits an Illustrious class frigate to the new Famous class; future ships will be new construction rather than refits.

February 22nd

The EU completes surveys of all planets and moons in the solar system; the Galileo moves on to survey the asteroid belt.

March 7th

A Chinese espionage team succeeds in accessing a secure Japanese network, acquiring data on the Yubari class colony ship.

April 6th

With the success of earlier commercial ventures, Steiner Carrier Services opens to business in Europe and soon launches an Outlander class Freighter.

April 16th

Scientists in Japan develop gamma class energy shields. They begin focusing on increases in research and mining speeds.

April 26th

Europe completes construction of 3 Poleaxe class gunboats; 3 more are ordered.

May 11th

China completes construction of research labs, and ships one to the EU.

May 28th

In order to better compete with its rival, Europe's Wright Transport launches a new freighter.

China completes an overhaul of its Luda class armed survey vessel, and sends it to begin surveying the asteroid belt.

June 23rd

The US begins construction on an Oregon class colony ship.

July 3rd

The EU finishes research on improved terraforming techniques, and begin developing a ship based terraforming module.

July 23rd

The EU completes the addition of a second slipway to their Warlock shipyard, and starts construction of a second warlock.

August 3rd

The US completes construction of a 7th George Washington class Carrier. Maintenance of the fleet is now responsible for over 5% of the governmental budget, though there is still a surplus.

September 8th

The EU completes construction of 3 more Poleaxe class gunboats.

September 18th

The US completes research on gravitational survey sensors and creates a new fighter design based on the successful Raptor

The 1st survey fleet, having finished surveying the asteroid belt, has moved on to the Oort cloud. Fuel supplies are strained but not yet dangerous.

China completes a new naval shipyard.

Great, we're no side by side with Japan as Earth's most scientific nation.

US, would you like to cooperate on laser tech? We've got some good energy weapons scientists and labs to spare.

Opps. Corrected the info to show all the US planets have mass drivers.

China's, though, don't... guess I forgot. I'd feel more guilty about it if China didn't have huge stockpiles of every mineral.

The PRC would like to notify the solar system that as of now we are not accepting outside industrial contracts, to dedicate our power to internal development.

Unless you have something that would really pique our interests, our shop is closed.

X-Ray lasers already? Holy carp O.o

How about kinetic weapon tech instead? I kinda like our theme of projectile weapons, and my fighters need new coilgun (gauss) technology. The only reason I started researching lasers is because I don't have any of the right specialists.

Europe does not have X-ray lasers. It has visible light lasers, a 2,000 point tech that the US has 500 points to go on. It also has 12 cm lasers, a 2,000 point tech the US hasn't started.

The US has Mining Production 12 and Construction rate 12, both 3,000 point techs and neither of which the EU has.

Before I set my orders this round I've got a bunch of stuff I want clarified.

What are the minerals on asteroid #81, and what's my deficit?

What levels of jump efficiency/squad size (actually are those unlocked yet?), fire control range/speed rating, fuel efficiency, capacitors and reactor/engine would I be looking at? There's about a dozen techs that I could use, barely even hitting some of the construction/production stuff, so I want to see which options are easy to knock off.
