Hm...
Does terminator armor work with jumppacks?

Anyway, now all I need is 500 EXP, then I can have all of the benefits of a Chain Fist and a Chain Axe (Or Chain Sword, depending on how I feel), with none (except for melee range) of the detriments.

.how are you all managing to be this powerful at rank 1? autosuccessing before we've even given out any XP is pretty cheesy.

This is Dsarker, he min-maxes more than the guy who played R2-D2 in Darths and Droids.

Because we're the equivalent of 8000 xp guys from DH. I managed to get a very decent set of rolls, and we're mostly Space Marines. Why wouldn't you go Space Marine, anyway? You get a higher maximum score.

But even then, I'm a complete socialiser min-maxer, and now I'm just thinking of what my guy's history and character are, so I can do some damned roleplaying this time around.

Of course, when I say that I've min maxed, I'm not completely helpless in combat. 55 for WS makes you not helpless.

right. I was thinking of doing this anyway,, but I'm putting up another point buy, and putting a limit on how many people can be space marines. I can't balance if one guy chooses human, and the rest are combat monsters compared to him. Especially considering the terminator armour, or auto-success rolls from the start. I'll be rejecting any character that can auto-success out of hand, same with anyone with very high scores all across the board. I know, dick move, but I'd like to keep this fun for both of us, and you have no idea how hard balancing an encounter for you guys is. Believe me, you don't want another Deathmark first encounter, they were specifically antipsyker material, and if you begin curb stomping every encounter, left and right, I have to up the challenge, which puts any of the squishier party members at risk of dying horribly compared to you lot.

Right, up to one third of the party can be space marines. No more.

Humans :20 in every score, up to 20 in one attribute, 100 points.
CSM: 25 in every score, 25 in one score, 80 points

I chose human. :P I'm the nurgle postman. As much as I like that idea though, I don't mind if my character dies! Should be fun, right?!

I would like to note that for my character to do his autosuccess, he'd have to be naked and the target would have to be restrained such that my character can work his little piece of torture.

We've got two humans, one of whom is going to be a whole lot combat monstery than I am, or will ever be. For me to get the terminator armour, it means I can't do my torture stuff anyway.

Anyway, Yoink already knows how I would be playing my Slaaneshi face anyhow.

!!Fun!! indeed.

None of you are Slaaneshi, or Khornate anythings yet. Ever. Is not possible. You are all. All. Unaligned. No alignments. That happens later.

Well, yeah. If we have an intro kinda thing, it'll involve my guy 'going postal' at his horrible job, setting a whole bunch of unmailed letters on fire and then either making pacts with the dark gods or just setting out to cause chaos. :) The nurgle part can come later, I guess.

We mean that like 'We're going to be Slaaneshi/Khornate/Nuglite/Tzeentchian' not 'we are etc. etc.'.

Also, while I'd prefer to play as a Chaos Marine, I'm willing to gen a renegade or heretek.
Though I'm pretty sure Apostates are built to be face characters.

Also, another solution would be to give the human players 1500 or 2000 EXP to start with. And maybe boosting their infamy so they can get more starting gear.
