I'd kind of prefer to play heresy or trader.

You do not convince me. You rationalize your actions and because the result is favorable you become right.

I prefer running heresy or trader as well, Deathwatch is too hard to make decent encounters for. and it DOES kinda restrict roleplaying to' KILL THE INFIDEL, BURN THE WITCH!'

Deathwatch is more about killin'em xenos than witches and heretics. :p

The problem with Deathwatch is that it's just about killin'

It's a problem because some of us don't mind a little roleplay. Dark Heresy has the most of the group, by far.

Well, I don't mind playing either of those games, but feel that this must be said: if the GM can't create opportunities for RP in Deathwatch (and I'm not referring to the kind soul who volunteered to run a campaign of either of these games, this is a general statement), I don't think he'd be able to create a good quality environment for RP in Dark Heresy or Rogue Trader either.

From what I've heard, it's a lot harder to create RP scenarios in DW than DH and RT.
I mean, I'm a pretty good GM for DH and RT (mainly DH) and I can't really think of a good RP scenario for DW. I mean, they're marines. They don't do much more than shoot kill move shoot kill move.

Well, to each his own, I guess. The 3 games appeal to different kinds of people.

Since there's already a Rogue Trader game going, I'll vote for hunting heretics in DH.  :)

Problem with the Deathwatch is: You guys are the elite of your chapter.

You might have problems with a tyranids hive fleet, but nothing lower level than that.

The RP is mainly in how the different chapters interact. But the Deathwatch are given extra training to remove this bit.

So, I take it we're set in Dark Heresy and all that remains is logistical considerations?

Right, Dark Heresy it is, now everyone who's interested, can you give me a character? roll them to advancement rank 3. I prefer slightly higher powered games to the usual.

Right, for stats, take everything as starting at 25, you have 100 points to spend, using no more than 20 in one stat. that way everyone is balanced, and nobody gets fucked over by a bad roll. no class restrictions, and tell me what sort of campaign you guys'd like.
