Because it's still speeding up. Just because it is inertialess doesn't mean it has infinite speed. It's speeding up still for the moment.

EDIT: Turns out Emil starts with two common-craft bionic implants of my choice. Suggestions anyone?

Bought Sharpshooter.

Also as suggestion for handling WBB: If a necron gets a fatality on them, no rolling it. Too much damage for it to be repaired on the spot.

for a party that regularly put's out up to 30 damage every turn? the whole Idea behind necrons is that I made them fragile enough to kill in one hit, but that they kept their WBB roll from tabletop. all the official stats for them give them tons of wounds, I gave them very little. Also, I now have a hard copy of Black Crusade, so we are ready to go whenever.

Problem is that in that scenario WBB is highly overpowered. Though what happens to be the necrons Armour save value?

on tabletop or on our game? in our game, warriors have 7, deathmarks have 5, scarabs have none, overlord boss man has a refractor field similar to dedrics, and 8 armour beneath that. the largest wound value out of the lot of necrons I have statted is 12.

Warriors have a 4+ save, not sure about the others. a 3+ is what sapce marines get I think, and their armour is 8 AP.

Alright. It still does seem cheaty to do a WBB roll when they do take so much damage that they'd phase out instead :/

A weapon that ignores armour, or warp based weaponry. These are the only canon ways to stop them trying to reanimate. Still, you won't be dealing with them much from here on out.
