"Emperor keep you safe and fair... pray to the Throne and he'll keep you well..."
*scratch* *scratch* *scratch*
The gnarled hands tapped against the walls. The charcoal crumbled further with each stroke, pieces tumbling through the cracks of its grip. Swaying side to side, Hak continued mumbling the lullaby his mother had sung to him before she passed away.
"But Primarchs help if you stray from him... Twisted and broken is the reward for sin"
The fists begin pounding against the wall more furiously with the last verse. Purity seals flap about with his arm's movements. Hak immediately begins repeating those same lines, and does so nonstop for several hours while he completes his work. Finally, he collapses on the floor - scriptures torn from various holy books briefly floating to the air - before dragging himself to the center of his room where he pulls out a strange crystal device. He holds it in his hands while in a stupor... staring into a world only he can see.
"They were right, always right. The blood of the father is the blood of the father's father is the blood of the blood of the... blood is black... black is the blood... black is the body... black is the soul. It must be purged... everything tainted must be purged."
Hak begins to eye the device again, his eyes bulging out of their sockets.
"No! Cannot stain more. My sin. My filth. My Judgment." He quickly becomes incoherent and lets out an anguished moan.
After hours of cycling between weeping, moaning to himself, and complete silence, Hak rises... stumbles to the floor... and rises again. "Yes... I can redeem myself." An insane grin spreads across his face.
...
(anybody who enters sees the following)
Blood and blood-soaked scriptural paper cover the floor around a large vaguely humanoid mass in the center of the room. It resembles Hak Vandire but it is impossibly twisted and misshapen, and the face is mangled almost beyond recognition. What appear to have been purity seals drip down from his corpse caked in dry blood. Hak's eviscerator is sticking through his upper chest and parts of his face, the chain blades tearing apart most of his features and protruding from the other side. On every surface of every wall are scribblings and drawings of hideous nightmare creatures with mocking expressions. The words FREAK and UNCLEAN are written in large rough letters in several places (some overlapping) and the entire north side seems to have been dedicated to a mural of Dedric with a daemonic worm replacing the crotch. The only other thing which stands out is a strange crystal device sitting on top of Hak's bed.
