It's a futuristic Diablo third person shooter type game, mostly based in london(now has tokyo, too.). It has single player mode and multiplayer mode, with nice party support. It has randomly generated streets(or dungeons), where you fight off demons, ending the level with a boss battle.
No two weapon is the same, and you'll always be different than everyone else.

If it's truly a Hellgate London F2P remake, sure, I'll give it a whirl. I always wanted to try HG:L despite its poor reviews.

It IS Hellgate london, with new features(such as tokyo, and new classes, etc.) It was just bought by some new company.

Always been interested in the game, but was going to get into it because I can't afford multiple subscription games, but now its going f2p, definitely downloading and will try.

this is so cool.  I LOVED Hellgate london, until they stopped hosting multiplayer anyways, can't wait.

Although you can argue with F2P, it is just that it brought nothing new to the table.

I liked the original, even not playing multiplayer I got some kicks out of it. Glad it's finally back.

the original has never left my hard drive. That being said, I found the installation and launch interface to be awful during beta.

Is there any difference between this and the original?  I played a bit of the original and I seem to remember I thought it was okay.

I liked Hellgate London it just had some horrible HORRIBLE quirks.

So I am quite happy with someone else planning on doing something good with it.

in some ways is is fps and diablo/hack n slash. It could also be called a precursor to Borderlands. It's just fun fluff.

It is part FPS and part Diablo hack and slash. You can switch between first and third person and between guns and melee and magic and all that.
