Is this one of those new weirdly high rivers/brooks?  Is it at a place where there should be a waterfall?

I have had something like that happen too.

It was a river going across the map.  Really huge cliffs on either side,  5 levels I think?

Anyway, a third river waterfalled into it.  At the bottom of the waterfall was a lake.  The lake was flooded with 2 Z levels of 7/7 water, and the river leading out had an extra Z level of water too.  Not 7/7, but still extra water.

The river-going-through-mountain code is kinda weird, the cliffs above the river don't taper at all, its a straight drop if the river starts in a lower area and flows through a taller one.  Or at least, I think that's the cause.

I have been trying to find a map with a really awesome waterfall, so I saw a lot of weird river stuff.

The map I settled on had about a 10 Z level waterfall.  And magma.  Awesome.

Waterfalls seem to happen when you have one river thats cut into a mountain by a lot, and a second one that intersects it.

If you want more info ask.

It has a waterfall, but it seems normal enough.
