Take the anger spear from the group inventory, and turn its essence into a song, of anger, and confliction.

Hmm interesting. I will head out into the world, and attempt to gather some fire. Where there's smoke... as the saying goes.

Did you know ctrl-r eats your reply, and it's very close to shift-r when you're tired?

Anyway.

World Difficulty: 8
The Aglaia takes off once more, taking you to another hilltop. A few kilometers in the distance, you see a city, a lot of smoke and steam belching from the iron chimneys. Just outside the ship is a path, and a hundred meters beyond it is a small army camp. A few robots, at first sight powered by a furnace on their back, stand guard.

STEAL SOME ROBOTS!
Attempt: 62 + 2
Quality: 38
Quantity: 47 (2)

You approach the camp, and look at the two closest guardbots. They are about three meter in height, and have a similar, hunched chassis, with two legs, a hunched torso with a heavy frontal chestplate, two arms, and a small head. One has his right grasper replaced with a drill, the other has a gun attached to his right hand and a great shield to its left. When you get closer, they turn towards you, and you see the drill slowly starting to spin, and a shell being forced in the gun chamber.
You run. But you run slowly, so the lumbering machines can keep up with you. You dodge a first bullet. Well, it was more of a cannonball actually. Another misses you completely, and you keep running.
When you arrive at the Aglaia, you head straight for your workplace. Just like you hoped, the robots follow you, and once in the ship, they are immediately contained by the advanced security systems. You summon a few extra bounds and wards, and place the machines in your inventory.
+31 Gather XP
+1 Robot Driller (I:17)
+1 Robot Shield Gunner (I:21)

STEAL SOME ROBOTS!
As I was about to say. Use my powers over metallurgy to shut them down first, though.
Attempt: 77 + 1
Quality: 13
Quantity: 52 (4)

You follow Taric to the encampment, but decide to find some smaller targets. You don't like being chased. Walking around the camp, you see a bunch of 'little' robots, about half as big as the others. They are not much more than two legs, an armored engine block, and a gun on top, with a small head. You feel mystical energies radiating from the little heads, you guess that must be their control core. With a flick of your wrist, you turn them off, and you compress them all so they fit in your pocket. A job well done.
+39 Gather XP
+4 Small Gunbots (I:3 each)

Take the anger spear from the group inventory, and turn its essence into a song, of anger, and confliction.
Attempt: 62
Quality: 74 + 95
Quantity: 34 (1)

You claim the spear. A quick glance reveals that it consist of pure anger energy, perfect for your cause. You put on some relaxing music, light your cabin in soothing colors, and meditate till you reach utter zen-ness. You'll need all your inner calm to prevent the spear from controlling you. And then you stab yourself.
You feel the rage rushing trough your blood, and you feel compelled to smash everything in the cabin to bits and kill everyone you see. You barely manage to contain yourself. You need the rage in your blood, so you quickly grab a pen and some paper. You take another sheet when you notice you crumpled the first. You stab the pen in the palm of your hand, drawing some blood - angry blood - and you start drawing lines and notes on the sheet. Soon, you feel the blood take over, and you sit back while your hand writes a whole song, occasionally stabbing you to get more ink. When it finally stops, you feel tired, your hand hurts, and there are tiny wounds all over your arms. But before you lays another song. You are pleased to see it has a line for drums, two guitars and a bass, and the melody and rhythm are very rock-y.
-95 Influence
+31 Musician XP (This is for making music. M. Spellmaking is for making spells from music.)
+1 Angry Rock Song (I:169)

Hmm interesting. I will head out into the world, and attempt to gather some fire. Where there's smoke... as the saying goes.
Attempt: 36 + 1
You, too, get closer to the camp. Another Driller Robot catches your attention, as it is designed with a bigger, unarmored furnace, and has no other armor either - except on top of its head and shoulders, suggesting it is used for mining. The furnace is most important though, since it is relatively open, getting the fire out of it should be easier. In theory. When you approach the robot carefully, suddenly a small guy comes out of a nearby tent. He is completely clad in what seems like steam-powered armor, except for his bald head, and armed with a dual-barreled gun and a clearly enchanted hammer. From the disturbance in the force the flux in the field of magic, you feel that he is a spellcaster, and when he turns towards you and starts whispering some words, you run. Just in time, as where you just stood, the ground breaks open and a fountain of lava erupts. You get back to the Aglaia.
+18 Gather XP

Gather some of the smoke or steam. Condense it if needed.
Attempt: 26 + 2
You walk around the encampment, trying to find a nice target for some steamleeching. You find a guardrobot that has its back turned towards you, and a large amount of steam pours from the chimneys. You sneak closer and closer to the giant machine, noticing it has a hammer in one hand and a shield with a built-in gun in the other - you have to keep that one in mind, a shieldgun would be awesome to defend yourself.
As you are close enough to the colossus to touch it, you notice a sudden, but loud 'clack' inside the machinery, and the next moment, the robot turns around, swinging its hammer right at you. It hits you full in the face with tremendous force, sending you flying. Good thing you had your shields up, you can't imagine what that hit would have done to your beautiful, delicate nose. You land twenty meters further, and decide to turn tail and flee.

Not having the best of luck with this game am I, heh

Ok, I will attempt to draw the life force out of my wood, and combine the pieces together to grow a tree.
Craft tree from 6 pieces of wood

Also, I think you need to update group storage? As the anger spear was still there... Unless it really is still there.

Random can be a heartless bitch.

Ok, I will attempt to draw the life force out of my wood, and combine the pieces together to grow a tree.
Craft tree from 6 pieces of wood
Attempt: 50
Quality: 72 + 42
Quantity: 27 (1)

You take the wood blocks and place them in a rough tree-shape. Under your hands, the blocks start growing again, and soon, they meet each other and blend seamlessly. Then they start growing branches and roots, and you place the tree upright as it grows taller and wider. You start feeling weaker and weaker while doing so, and when blood-red leaves pop out of the wood you realize you've used your own lifeforce to craft the tree, as none was left in the blocks. It doesn't matter, a good night's rest will do miracles, and you put the tree in a borrowed pot of earth.
+50 Necroplanter XP
-6 Pieces of Wood (I: 7 each)
+1 Necrotic Tree (I: 114)

Why dont I cash in that song, to regain my lost influence, and then some, and then.. Lets collect some ambient emotion.
You sell the song, and head out, looking for emotion.
Attempt: 30+3
This land is full of feelings. There have been massive wars, and glorious golden ages, these roads have been used for centuries by traders, diplomats and armies alike. This time, however, is one of war, and only war, and from what you can tell, the greatest, longest, most brutal and terrifying ever. You decide to go for these emotions, the ones of battle, as they are the strongest, both because of their intensity and because they didn't have time to decay yet. Yo open your mental wards to the horrors of war.
A wave of sorrow, anger and fear washes over you. You see men, good men, running for their lives, only to be blown to pieces by the next round of mortar fire. You see hardened veterans in the infirmary, crying like babies when they realize they're crippled for the rest of their lives. You see mothers waiting at the city gates, trying to keep their children calm, while with every passing minute the chance grows they'll never see daddy again. You look in the eyes of once brave warriors, hear them scream as some terrible weapon bores in their flesh.
You can't do this. You really can't. This is too much.
You close your mind, and walk back, trying to think of daisies and butterflies. It doesn't really work.
-1 Angry Rock Song (I: 169)
+169 Influence
+15 Gathering XP

Combine the two newest robots.
Attempt: 95 + 7. Aww, come on!
Quality: (80 + 17 + 21) * 2
Quantity: 1

You see a massive gun, and an equally giant drill. You see engines that can produce thousands of horsepowers of brute force, yet can be set to yield only enough to lift a single feather. You see unimaginably complex cortexes of a mysterious and powerful alloy, that allows controlling these machines by simply thinking of them. You see thousands of gears, springs, and levers, some as small as needle, some half the size of the robot.
But most importantly, you see what these machines could be.
You get to work.
Seventeen hours of nonstop tinkering, fifteen vats of welding fuel, three broken screwdrivers, thirty-two detail blueprints, nine test runs, and a smashed thumb later, you are finally finished. Honestly, you can't remember what you did. But before you stands what must be your second masterpiece. The robot stands on four legs, with its upper torso raised, not unlike a mythical centaur. Its left and right hand are delicate and robust at the same time, perfectly capable of whatever task you would want them to, be it calligraphy or wrecking cars. Its head, although not intelligent, certainly acts that way, capable of such bodily language as raising eyebrows or smirking. On its left side is a holster for the massive shield, which you reinforced and enlarged, but the icing on the cake, so to say, is the right-hand weapon.
A gun. That shoots steam-powered drills.
Yeah, you're that awesome. You take a drop of the magical processing alloy from your vest, and place it on your workbench. Never know what it's good for.
+95 Robotics XP (level up!)
-1 Driller Robot (I: 17)
-1 Robot Shield Gunner (I: 21)
+1 Robot Centaur That Shoots Drills (I: 236)
+1 Magesteel Droplet (I: 10)

Gather
Attempt: 13 + 1
You start sneaking around the camp trying to find something interesting to gather. Outside one of the tents, you see a rack with several heavy hammers, sparkling with electricity. You don't know if it's magical or mechanical, but they are intriguing anyway. There are two small guys guarding the weapons, but you are fairly certain you can take them out if you remain stealthy. You don't want to attract the attention of the guard robots nearby.
Just as you are about to attack, you hear a loud beeping right behind you. The four robots from yesterday are standing in formation at your feet, signaling they're ready to move. You curse, as the optics of several guards turn towards the bush you've chosen as a hiding place, and you run. Luckily, the smaller robots seem quicker and more agile than the bigger guards, and you lose them in the forest. You make sure to switch them to 'off' instead of 'sleep' that night.
+7 Gather XP

Repeat.
Attempt: 24 + 2
You, too, decide to go back to the camp. This time, you spent some time reading 'Cloaking for dummies', and you are completely invisible when you enter the camp. you walk around for a bit, and nobody seems to notice you, so you approach one of the robots. Very carefully, you place a glass vial over one of his exhausts, and when you caught enough steam, you head back for the ship. You run, you skip, even, and when you come back at the ship, you proudly take the bottle out of your pocket. You almost start crying when you notice you forgot to close the bottle, and all the steam has dissipated into the air.

FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

One last chance: Those robots are armed. Hmmmm... I don't have the disassembly malfunction from Haika's game...

PERFECT!

Use my powers to fry every circuit within 1 mile of me! (or whatever these robots have for brains...) Then, I gather the neutralized robots, as many as I can, using my two current bots, who were hiding safely in the Aglaia, to shoot and guards that would stop me!

And get a few of those hammers, too. And any guns I see not attached to robots. And any scrap metal. Or spare parts. Or fuel. Or, anything but organics and rock.

TL;DR: Gather after frying robobrains and summoning my 4 gunbots (Who were protected from my robobrain-frying blast by the Aglaia) for protection against meatsacks with malicious intent.
