I'd like ta use my divinin' skills to point me towards a good, soft ore of some sort.  Asteroids are bound to contain something good!

Collect something bendable.

I'm sorry to hear that. I guess it was worth a try, but the rules are simply too focused on crafting skills that use natural resources instead of fabricated goods, to give a programmer a fighting chance.

First of all, the riddle.
No-one guessed it, so it is open for non-players to try too. I'll put all the hints, in order, in a spoiler. I guess I might have made it too hard, and I confess it would be easy only if you know certain things about certain things. Anyway, for fun now, here are the hints again, and a cookie for the one who can tie them all together:
Spoiler: Hints (click to show/hide)

This will keep you occupied till the next turn, being typed now ;)

Welp, Eagle sent me a PM, and said I was in on this as a player, so. I shall go ahead and state my first action as: Gather Light.

Phew. A lot of administration going on. Anyway, here you go. Also, a double crit, one of which was an epic crit. Come on, guys, could you fail once in a while? The stuff I destroyed because of your crits earned Osin a few years in God Prison...

World difficulty: 97[/color]
You are standing on an asteroid about one km across. The rock is, of course, completely barren. You see a rather bright star relatively nearby, and a few dark planets around it.

Armok has left, McCay has been removed due to repeated only-posting-after-pm. PyroDesu and Haika have joined (@Haika: I will resolve your action next turn, as I just saw it when I was about to post and I'm lazy, is that okay?)

Build a robot out of the remaining iron scraps.
Attempt: 82 + 6
Quality: 69 (132)
Quantity: 1 (1)

You decide to take it easier this time. Nothing like good, old, regular-sized solid robotry. You write down a few skills you want your robot to have, and start welding again. Soon, you have the framework, and a bit later, the whole chassis. The wiring takes a bit longer, but is no problem at all for an experienced robomancer like you. At the end of the day, your inventory is enriched with one robot. A robot that can clean shrimps, climb olm trees, and dance the Macarena. Truly, a masterpiece.
- 3 Scraps of Iron (I: 21 each)
+ 88 Robotics XP (level up!)
+ 1 Multi-functional Robot (I: 132)

Collect something bendable.
Attempt: 32 + 1
You reach out with your divinatory self, into the asteroid, looking for something that can bend TO YOUR WILL! Or just something that can bend, that would be great too. However, after hours and hours of mentally turning every stone, you find only solid rock, strong rock, and a few spots of unbendable rock.
+ 16 Gathering XP

Collect star matter.
Thiiiiiiiis.
Attempt: 100+ 1
Quality: 24 (120)
Quantity: 15 (1)

Attempt: 90 + 1
Quality: 36 (72)
Quantity: 33 (1)

 :o
The two of you venture out towards the nearby star. As you get closer, you realize the ball of fire is gigantic, much greater than you'd ever imagine. And you need to gather from that colossus, that behemoth, while you aren't even bacteria compared to its size.
Unacceptable. You are gods, above - and greater than - any celestial body in existence. You look at each other, and at the same time, you start to grow.
Your body is like rubber, stretching out over your bones, which are in turn getting bigger and bigger, the ends of each bone travelling at a speed that would make sound green with envy. Soon, you are as big as the star, the Aglaia and the asteroid just a speck of dust, if even that. You keep on growing. Twice as big as the star. Three times. Four.
That's when your anti-gravity shields can't contain you anymore, and after a few moments of hesitation, the star is slowly drawn apart in two long, thick tentacles of fire, circling towards either one of you.
You manage to renew your gravitational fields just before the hot matter contacts you, and the star keeps its spiral shape for a bit longer, before it starts to reform into a ball again. As the two tendrils collide with what was left of the spheric body, even you feel the force of the impact echoing through space. The star collapses further, and you notice it is smaller than its original size, now only half, even smaller, until it is a tiny ball of very, very hot and dense matter.
You flee. As you are halfway towards the Aglaia, you see everything in front of you brighten to an extent your eyes can't distinguish anything anymore, and a blastwave hits you in the back. You are catapulted the rest of the way towards the ship, and smack into the asteroid, leaving two more craters on the already scarred surface.
As you protect your eyes with a layer of light-filtering magic, you see the Aglaia and the asteroid are covered in stardust. You quickly scoop some of it up before you get back in the ship, not knowing whether to feel afraid or awesome.
A grinning Osin convinces you of the latter. "What a show. WHAT a show. Seriously, I love you guys. This was your idea, right?"
Ochita:
+ 50 Influence
+ 50 Gather XP
+ 1 Big Bag of Stardust (I: 120)
Evilcherry:
+ 10 Influence
+ 45 Gather XP( level up!)
+ 1 Bag of Stardust (I: 72)

Gather Light.
Attempt: 53
Quality: 18
Quantity: 36 (2)

As you are contemplating a way to capture light, a whole lot of it blasts trough your window. You quickly shield your eyes and in a moment, conjure two mirrors and place them in the beam, facing each other. Most of the light refracts, but you close your crude cage with a light-captivating forcefield, and two beams are still trapped between the mirrors.
+ 27 Gathering XP
+ 2 Beams of Light (I: 9 each)

Begin extracting any metallic elements from the rock.
Attempt: 35
Your subconscious links to most metallic elements, most of the time, but not on this asteroid. You hope it is because of your shielding, or maybe your interfering powers, or even radiation from the star. After hours and hours of searching for a hint of metal in the rock, however, you realize it is because there simply is no metal.
+ 18 Gathering XP

Trade the wood and alien branches for some influence, then go out and mine the asteroid for the rock itself.

Rip out the planet's core if the core is metal! And the Mantel and other layers of core! LEAVE IT AS AN ASTEROID OF PURE STONE!

(please not another incident like this:

diss-assemble. dissassemble. Dissassemble. DISSASSEMBLE. DiSsAsSeMbLe! DiSsAsSeMbLe!!  DiSsAsSeMbLeDiSsAsSeMbLeDiSsAsSeMbLeDiSsAsSeMbLe!!!
Your world turns white. The engine that was before you splits at the atomic level as your powers go out of control. You have no idea what caused it, perhaps trying something so different from what you were used to so early after waking up. When you return to consciousness, you find yourself laying in a massive crater where the engine used to be. Alarm lights are shining all over the place, and several automated systems are cleaning up wreckage and trying to restore the damaged parts of the Aglaia. A large red ticket is printed out from a slot near what is left of your work station. As you pick it up, an amount of your power is sucked out from it. You quickly drop the fine slip, but it is too late, the strange paper crumbles into dust, and you realize that part of your divine self has been warped, and will never work quite the same again.
+1 Reverse Engineer exp
-65 influence
Congradulations, welcome to the world of extreme critical crafting fail. From now on, any dissassemble actions you attempt will come with a -20 modifier due to power malfunction.
- 1 large piston-based engine [49]

On a side note, Mr Evilcherry(I think you are Reisen right?) , would you be interested in trading that pure water you have for some of my influence? It's a very nice elemental source item. You'd typically only get 11 influence from it if you put it into group storage, but if you trade it to me, I'll give you 20 of my influence(assuming Eagle is alright with the trade). How does that sound?
