Someone is extremely lenient on his influence fines. Total body reconstruction, only 10 influence. XD

If we have any metal in storage try to make it into a mini and fully functioning Rihno Tank. If not gather Metal.

I guess I'll gather. I still have nothing good for an actual computer to start actually programming.

Also, I think there is something wrong with the inventories. You forgot to add the power stuff i got and a bunch of things there were an order of magnitude more numerous last turn.

I'll add your power stuff next time, sorry for that. The decrease in inventory stack size is explained in one of the earlier turns, there's some bold text on top of the post.

I noticed a few more errors I made. Dammit. My apologies. I fixed them this turn. (Crafting xp counts full instead of half, Crafting adds the influence of the base item tot the quality roll instead of only using the latter.) Also, I changed the inventory influence notation from (X infl total) to (X infl each) for ease of use. Don't worry, I rounded up.

Also, a lot of bad turns this turn. I'm sorry, the random.org gods aren't with you this day.

World difficulty: 72
As the lights go back to normal and the viewing ports open, you see a desolate landscape. A gray world, with pools of a black fluid scattered over the landscape, and plants that exist of thousands of tiny branches perpendicular to one thick, heavy trunk.

Hmm... Well, just gather stone!
Attempt: 25
Once more, you spend a whole day smashing your pickaxe against the ground. You heat and strenghten it with magic this time, but it still doesn't make much more than another dent. On the positive side, you learned quite a few things about magically enhancing tools to gather more efficiently.
You gain a level in gathering!

Gather some of the branches with the help of Steel-man (Note to self: Steel-man needs name)
Attempt: 33
Your steel man follows you when you tell him to come with you, but he has no idea what 'cut this tree' means. You keep trying: 'fell', 'attack', 'gather' or 'get' this 'tree', 'plant', 'trunk', you even try 'destroy the damned thing!', but he doesn't understand a word.  After hundreds frustrating attempts, you decide to go back to the ship and find out what Steel Man can do. It seems he only knows how to move. Osin must have stopped you too early, while you were still adding basic algorithms. Still, you understand the Man a bit now, and you recon he'd make an excellent pack animal, allowing you to carry more tools.
You gain a level in gathering!

If we have any metal in storage try to make it into a mini and fully functioning Rihno Tank. If not gather Metal.
When you reach for one of the bars in group storage, you suddenly feel a light shock in your right hand, and a forcefield around the storage rack glows briefly. You hear a voice saying: "Influence insufficient for this purchase. Please, come back soon."
You decide to gather some metal instead
Attempt: 47 - 10
However, you can't find any metal on this planet, not even when covering a few thousand square meters with a metal detector from the tool storage.

I guess I'll gather. I still have nothing good for an actual computer to start actually programming.
Attempt: 28
You walk around the planet, thinking about what you need for a new computer. 'A bit of silicone would be nice. Or copper. Maybe some kind of plastic. And then I could make a computer that could play blackjack with a decent AI; one that wouldn't simply hit on 15 and stay on 16. One that would look at the other person's cards as well.'
Your thoughts quickly drift off, and you find yourself back at the ship, with the setting sun behind you.

Gather some Rock.
Attempt: 78
Quality: 4
Quantity: 28 (3)
You look at the attempts of Ochita for a while, and decide to do it differently. Instead of spreading your energy over a whole pickaxe and a whole day, you gather everything your meager body can offer, and concentrate it in a point a few centimeters under the earth. The rock violently explodes, and while most pieces are too small, too brittle, or in orbit around the planet after the blast, you find three rather dull pieces. They look quite weak, despite the difficulty to get them out of the ground - almost as if breaking them off killed their resistance.

I'm starting to think you need to tweak gathering difficulty somehow. This is getting silly.

I still have no choice but to gather, since nobody trades their materials

You can still trade with group storage. Also, you can perfectly make a computer with some wax, provided you rp it a bit of course.

In general, I'd think a computer programmer is a very specialized skill for a crafting game. I suppose it could be done, but it's quite a bit more difficult than someone who has a more general or wide-range of use.

That is not the problem. The problem is that it requires tools, namely a computer, before I can even start using it. Once I do I can crank out very varied software.
