This world uses: Fortress Defense Mod, Evil Races and Civ mod, Dwarf Caramel, a little side stuff, and maybe some other stuff I forgot. This will lead to FUN...Oh, and let me know if something odd comes up, like a cheating reaction I haven't used since I got used to 31.25 but never bothered to remove or some odd logged errors, and I'll get it fixed if I can.

Look around the world and select a spot for what you think will make a good succession game. You may look at the site with utilities or even embark on your chosen site to check it out, but should include explanations from such tools in spoilers. The site should not be larger than 3X3 or so and must include screenshots indicating location, biomes, neighbors, and elevation.
Note that there is a playable "Cobald" civilization, which has "cobalidium" and some other stuff; see here for details. They might be interesting to play, but also have to deal with demands from embark. There is a poll on which we will do. No, we'll just use dwarves. Might want to buy some cobalidium, though, in case some noble/moody dwarf likes it.

Once you have a chance to look around and select a site, and then post the screenshots. I will stop accepting submissions at midnight of the day that the fifth third submission has been added, at which point I will start a poll as to which you want to make the SG on. I will also accept fortress name suggestions, dwarfings (but I call expedition leader!), and volunteers for the next turn, the first only up until I start the fort's first turn.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We are still accepting dwarfings. You do not need to sign up for a turn to be dwarfed.

Since, out of the 5 people that voted for a possible race, 4 voted "dwarf" (and, anyways, cobalds seem to be full of headaches), we will use dwarves. Starting a poll for if we use a site I choose or a site voted on by the community.

The odd part is that 3 people voted for elves and none for kobolds. I can't believe it, I just don't know what to expect from this community.

We're tied up two-and-two, and I want to finish this vote today so we can start the fort or start choosing fort sites. And I'm fiddling with the poll so that the four jokers can change their votes to actual votes. Actually, I can't do that, so...yeah...
Also, before I start the fort, I'd like four more dwarves. Ideally not more miners, I like having just one for some reason. Also, smiths will be underused at the start unless I embark on a volcano/find the magma sea and find metal ore before the year is up. Just a warning about my playstyle.

I'll make a note of that, and start looking for a site, just in case, but I'd like to give others a chance to vote and get a few more dwarves before we call it final.
Also, the "us choosing or whatever" requires people to find sites and then others to vote on them, so I suggest you look at the world and start figuring out a good-looking site.

Fortress Defense, huh? Well, nothing ventured, nothing gained, I suppose... Add me for a turn, please. Dwarf name "Imboker." If possible, make me the bookkeeper/manager/some bureaucratic position with the necessary skills; since I'm new to Fortress Defense, I'm envisioning my dwarf as a sheltered scholar-type who is utterly bewildered and terrified by all these things that want desperately to kill him.
