Anybody decide they've had enough and want to kill things that don't involve a quest (wildlife not included)? In one of my many adventure worlds, I'm planning to go renegade and kill some elves and dwarfs. Problem with dwarfs is, I CAN'T FIND THE FRIGGIN' FORTRESS ENTRANCE!!!!! That, and it's dark, and wet, and scary down there... I don't want to get eaten by olms and Giant Cave Spiders. *shudders* I HATE spiders. With elves, all I can do is set trees and shrubs afire until I smoke out a few elves. Then kill them, 'cause their wooden crap weapons and armour are good as firewood. I just hope that them elves won't figure out that they can make their wooden arrows become !!wooden arrows!! and shoot me, potentially turning me into a !!renegade assassin!!. I WANT TO KILL EVERYTHING NOT OF MY CIVILISATION!!!!! Muahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!! I'm evil.

Unfortunately non-human settlements don't appear in the current version of the game, so unless you mod them to have cities you'll have to be content with killing human civilians.

Unfortunately non-human settlements don't appear in the current version of the game, so unless you mod them to have cities you'll have to be content with killing human civilians.

Jupp, it's a pretty big issue.
Also , modding the goblins into the game in human towns and elves in human towns seems to cause some minor problems like :

*Goblins acting like humans and not like goblins (have their shops, doesnt kill you or attack you on sight etc etc). Also it seems their towns are very often allied with other human towns, kills some goblins and be at war suddenly with humans as well.

*Elves in Cities sells human stuff gear (Large items, metal etc), goblins do this as well btw. They also tend to flock in large quantities in a few rooms.

Btw anyone know if a goblin settlement has infinite settlers? I've been on an onslaught with an adventurer (trying to kill of most goblins in world) and they just keep on coming even after having killed a few hundreds. I think the total death count of goblins was now at 500 in that hamlet in particular.

That's annoying. No wonder I can't find elves in forest retreats or the large square pits to enter dwarf halls. And I'm trying to find goblin towers without effect. I guess I am going to have to kill humans. But not ones of my home civilisation...

Well, there is a trick to turn a fortress into the semblance of a mountain home. The dorfs will not give quests, but behave like humans in hamlets. The Pick and Axe post in this forum section has the details. Another way is to embark a fort on a lair you discovered in AdvMode, then abandon later

Well, there is a trick to turn a fortress into the semblance of a mountain home. The dorfs will give quests, but behave like humans in hamlets. The Pick and Axe post in this forum section has the details. Another way is to embark a fort on a lair you discovered in AdvMode, then abandon later

The only time they won't give you quest is due to lack of bandits or caves in the area. Oh you will never be able to retire in a fort if it's on top of a lair near is okay just don't have it on the embark screen.
oh and if your going to massively murder every one at the fort best have Adventure traps turn on for Extra FUN.

I don't want to murder things. I want to assassinate them, ninja-style (i.e, at night). At daytime, when everyone's awake, I'll put my primary and ranged weapon in my backpack, carry my large dagger in one hand, walk into a hut, go up to the one guy, grab his head with my free hand and stab him in the throat. Then, I'll go into hiding, put away my dagger and take out my bow, and pick off all who dare approach me. I'll seek out a slicing knife, use that as my primary weapon, ditch my current one and go assassinate other people. In the case of soldiers, I'll make sure they're all asleep, stab their throats, take one sword, spear and axe from each, more ammo if necessary, then stab the civ leader to plunge the civ into chaos.

If you want to Massively Assassinate a fort site then build huge wall and a moat with a bridge connected to a lever that inside the fort for EXTRA FUN.

From my personal experiences, goblins were friendly when I travelled to dark fortresses in earlier versions.

Yep, until that elven moron I recruited shot their high priest. Of course the fact that I compounded the matter by hacking off his arm and shoving him off the temple roof has nothing to do with it at all.

I've seen a human town with just Elves.

This post makes me realize how badly adventurers need to be able to climb walls so I can play this game like Assassin's Creed.
