Joe: Add other triangle to inventory then dive down the pipe.
"Yeesh... Um, Z-Zach? I'm g-gonna g-go and look for the th-things. B-Be right b-back."

Bradley turns and heads back the way he came.

Bradley heads back across the bridge to the west and Joe slides down the pipe. They end up back in the dim, watery room, but the Nep-enut seems to have submerged itself once again. Between them, the last triangle stone thing can be seen.

: "I guess I should go look for a leaf, or something from a tree then."

Go to the east, and try to talk to that sun!

: "Alright. I'll keep looking around here to make sure I don't miss anything."

Ochita heads back to the Angry Sun Room and approaches the sun-like creature. He notices it's lacking most of its innate shine and is now just a floating, angry, yellow sphere.

: "GRRRRRAAAAAH! Can't... light... these... plants! Too... dead!"

"Say, what happens when you get all the triangles here? Do you know anything about this place we're in?"

: "I work them tools, don't question why. They work when they work, my job's done when it's done. But when they don't work..."

If Crank knew where he was, he'd know what treasures to be looking for...

Look for an entrance!  That crack in the tower looks promising...

... Crank notices a few potential entrances.

The cracks in the central dome might be large enough to fit through, but they look awfully dark. Meanwhile, there's a few cracks directly in the structure of the tower nearby, but that would risk falling who knows how many feet into cold, stagnant water.

Bradley took the triangle. "Uh, uh, um... H-Have you s-seen s-something that l-looks l-like this? I n-need another one," the boo said, keeping his eyes on the shiny triangle in his hands.

(Also, am I regenning my MP? Kinda looks like I haven't been, and I just thought to check on/ask about it. >.>)

((I'm having a bit of difficulty keeping track of it, but whenever I post everyone's statuses it should be counted as a full "turn." So good catch, it should be 5 instead of 4.))

In the unknown top, or risk climbing the wall?  Both ways were dangerous.

That didn't bother Crank.  If he was risk averse, he wouldn't have become an Alchemist.  Of course, if he were more careful, he'd probably still
be an alchemist back in his home town.  Well... at least one of those explosions wasn't his fault.  He wished he could say the same about more of them.  His eye involuntarily twitched toward his scar.

Oh well.

: "Yeah, those cracks look good.  Can't be too far down.  Better than getting wet, right?"

Go in a crack!  If none of them are big enough, see if a couple well-placed Mana Strikes can widen them enough.

Bradley grabs the triangle and puts it in his inventory. Joe just stands there for the moment.

Go in a crack!  If none of them are big enough, see if a couple well-placed Mana Strikes can widen them enough.

... Crank attempts to squeeze into the widest crack in the dome, but it's just a little too short. Or maybe he isn't trying hard enough. He decides to loosen it up with a couple of well-placed ARCANE BLADES, ... but the dome's outer shell is too sturdy to damage further. Whatever did this damage to the area must have been immensely powerful.

A howling wind blows through the area, and two dark shades materialize on the sides of the tower. The BATTLE GRID activates.

BATTLE INITIATED!

Trouble, again.  This didn't look like anything he couldn't handle, though he hadn't seen the likes of these before.  All the questing and searching, sure, he had gotten into his fair share of scraps.  But he trusted his abilities and had confidence in himself.  You didn't last long if you didn't trust yourself.

He assumed an offensive stance.  It was hard to tell, given the lack of arms.

Move straight towards and Arcane Blades Chaos Shade #1!

((Note: I'm going to assume you use up your whole 3 Move and move like this. Laying out specific steps is nice for strategy but not always necessary.))

Crank moves up toward the shade on the left side of the tower, drawing power from himself to call upon another quick Arcane Strike. The spell locks onto the shade, ... but it spins away at the last second. The other shade moves closer.

The nearest shade extends its arm, and three glowing red orbs materialize behind it. Each sends off an arcing burst of energy, ... slicing straight through Crank and knocking him back. ... He feels heavily weakened, but not damaged. Huh.

((I figured the end result would be close enough that I didn't need to specify further.  I will if it's important.))

Ugh... that's... odd.  Crank didn't recall fighting someone like this.  He didn't have time to dwell on it, as that other one was getting closer...

Move left!  Fire more Arcane Blades!

Move left!  Fire more Arcane Blades!

Crank steps to the side and notices his movement is hindered. He fires off another strike with his Arcane Blades, ... but the nearby shade follows his sidestep and moves out of the way.

... However, the heat of battle is apparently getting to the shade as it swings with its dual-tipped blade and misses Crank by a mile. The other shade closes in on Crank and prepares the arcing red magic seen a minute ago.

... This time it hurts, though. Crank takes four points of damage and is further weakened.

((Yeah, I wasn't sure how prepared I was to take this fight at all- I'm clearly pretty squishy.))

Okay, that was enough of that nonsense.  Time for an alternate plan.  One that involved not dying.

Jet Boost due north and get the hell out of Dodge.

Crank hoped there were no rocks under that water, because he was about to take a swim.
