Turn 21

Location: Forest of Piranha Plants (various)
Time: Morning (Early)
Weather: Nippy
Light: Soon



Turn Intro

The team is closer to being reunited to come together and meet their goal face-to-face. But first, there are some small difficulties to take care of.

Taric: SACRIFICIAL STAR: USE MP!

You feel you have only one option right now... and that's to take a chance and find out what true power is. Maybe then you can break the glass yourself! You hold up your spear and channel its power...

...and suddenly, an incredible transformation takes place! A lot like Red gaining wings, you're thrust into a tunnel of air and magic outside the mortal realm. You feel your arms being covered with bands of metal, and you gain a spear in each hand. Then the rest of your body is covered in shining, magical, silver plate armor, fit for a true knight!

Bradley: Wake up!

You wake up. That was awfully easy. You're in the pipe room again, and you have the oddest feeling that you missed a wonderful story! Fortunately, when you regain clear vision, you see that the pipe in the room has been lowered to a jumpable level! That's pretty good, even if it didn't affect you in the first place.

You see Oomph has been waiting on you. Now that you're awake, he takes off. But the Podoboos are here to keep you company if that's what you want.

Battle Results

RED: Ascend and divebomb!

You ascend into the air, and try once more your first move. Letting your wings out, you divebomb the now-lowered Piranha Plant with your sword preparing to slash! Your sword collides with the plant doing 2 damage, but you land safely on the ground near Fuzz. Your first successful hit and you pulled it off pretty well. It's great to have wings!

Piranha Plant: Chomp on the fuzzy one!

The Piranha plant extends its vine outside of the pipe in hopes to reach Fuzz with an attack. It ends up right in front of him, and bites him, secreting paralyzing toxins! Fuzz falls backwards, unable get up or move around much, but is otherwise unharmed.

Oomph: Equip your sword! CHARGE INTO BATTLE!

Leaving Bradley in the dust, you equip your bronze sword and run to your friends in the Grand Hallway. You take a swift leap at the Piranha Plant, landing a perfect slash dead center on its main vine! It reels, highly hurt by the attack. It won't be able to use active abilities next turn because of the pain! Who knew plants felt pain?

Fuzz: Hit it in THE FACE!

You were about to do that! However, as luck would have it, you're paralyzed for your turn. Also, your forehead itches, and you can't scratch it! Everything is terrible. It sucks to be Fuzz! You notice that your friends are finally getting back at the plant for you, though. Hopefully they'll take care of it before it gets the idea to eat you or something while you're defenseless.

Things are looking up for Our Heroes. Some are struggling to breath, but others are invigorated by the heat of battle, or the fright of suffocation. What will come of them yet?

I like the looks of it. Now I'm curious about everyone's EX mode.

Bradley looked at the Podoboos. They looked back at him, and he blushed, covered his eyes, and turned away. Didn't one of them hit me? ...Maybe I should leave. "S-sorry, g-g-gotta c-catch up t-to Oomph," he stuttered as he flew off after his ally, ready to assist in the battle up ahead by flying around to the plant's back and smacking it with his weapon.

Yeah, I was hoping Taricus would use that ability so that you guys could get rolling on the CHAIN OF INCENTIVE to see everyone's unique EX forms.

You do not possess the "Jump" skill! Your class must be Dragoon to do that. Defaulting to regular air attack...

And if that was in fact a reference to Taric's transformation you get a cookie for being possibly the first person to notice the shout out in his design.

Here's the current unique weapon tally:

You'll notice over time you'll never find two of the same unique weapon (except for weapons like Starbreaker for obvious reasons). You'll also notice there's only four ways to get unique weapons and armor:

1) Solving puzzles
2) Disarming bosses (I haven't gone over this yet)
3) BEING CREATIVE (no one thought to, for example, ask the Podoboos about what help they could offer, even if it turned out to be nothing)
4) Being extremely lucky in interactions with NPCs

Super awesome bio thing:Named Podoboo 3 at birth he changed his name to Amadeus Septimus Jormund Flake Hanser Cook at 13 when he was having problems with not being unique, after he set off to the world to clean the monsters out of the lava pipes. When he came back his friends Podoboo 1 and 2 told him about Bragely and Oomph, and like the unique Podoboo he was he set out to go with them

I need to tally up the waitlist. Let's see... there was jetex first, then there was that guy who solved Taric's puzzle, and that puts you at spot number three I believe.

Anyway, SURPRISE! Update almost done. I'm working on this large picture though.
