"Oh yeah I found NewsMuffins old therapist!" Furtuka points at an old closet. "Turns out he's been stuck in there this whole time, living off of dustbunnies/'

The colored man wakes up in his room wearing pink, seemingly with a massive hangover. "Oh my god, that was some chronopart - OH HOLY SWEET [censored due to Cthulhoid nature] WHY NOW"

He looks around and sees various colored versions of himself, all waking up and screaming. Except the purple one, who wakes up, laughs evilly, then jumps through the ceiling to the roof.

Green looks around and says,
"Aw hell, again? I really thought Grey had managed to stabilize it that time. By the way, anyone seen Orange's marshmallow gun?"

Yellow pipes up,
"I think he's sitting on it."

Red stands up, dusts himself off, and begins muttering,
"Yeah, and it would have STAYED stabilized, had Pink not decided to go and get drunk off his pathetic partying ass. Now I've got to try building another one of those damned machines AGAIN. Grey, White, you're staying here to help me. Don't argue, I'm the one with the goddamn flamethrower. The rest of you, try not to screw up reality too much. And so help me god, Grey, if you knocks my arm into the Dark Void again, I will make sure you never see the light of day once we're stabilized. Oh, and try to get Purple back. Not that we need his sorry ass, but it helps."

Gotham's mysteriously high mental illness rate isn't so mysterious when you find out Batman thinks subduing a guy means spiking his head into the pavement like a football.

Blue opens the door. "Hey, here's the rent for the next year. Do you charge extra for more people? Because I've got about a half dozen... uhhh... family members moving in... soon. ish." He pushes a small wad of cash into Furtuka's hands and waits for a response.

"Well, it would seem we have a problem then. Unless you take payment in the forms of gravitational anomalies or-"

An evil cackling begins to emanate from the ceiling. The door flies wide open, and Red charges out, knocking Blue and Furtuka over. Red then runs down the hall, yelling something about "PURPLE! QUIT IT WITH THE DAMN SPATIAL ANOMALIES, I AM TRYING TO WORK DOWN HERE DAMMIT!"

"Well, Mr. Furtuka, I can see you've already met Red...."

"I'm sure we can. But in the meantime, I think we may have a larger problem. Namely, Purple. He's usually harmless, but he's managed to do some structural damage on occasions like these. I'd just like to advise you: confronting Purple is usually a very bad idea. If there's anyone here who has a tendency to attack Cthulhoid beings on sight, I suggest you keep them far away from this floor and from the subbasement whilst we hunt Purple down."
