Hey, that sounds like a great idea!

I could set up above-ground houses, farms and 5-tile-thick entrance defence walls with archer towers, a trench filled with water and upright spike traps at the bottom, four entrance halls with three layers of doors, stone fall traps between them and a drawbridge for every hall.

To save myself the hassle of going down 10+ levels, I could use above-ground wood for the walls, doors, bridges and spikes.

Of course, I'll need to download this before my plans can take action!

When you get a few people on at the same time, it gets a lot more Fun.

So for some reason I can only get on server 1? Nobody is on it though, even though on the steam page it says like 15 people are on.

Wow, somehow I thought that this is not possible. Is there anyway I can join in?

I love teamwork games, especially when others are team players. Why do many people use DF Therapist, never heard of it till' now and I'm running a 165 dwarfy fort.

Carpman: The Steam page is just the Steam group. It doesn't show how many people are playing DF, just how many Steam profiles are online. And it seems that only server 1 is working right now. Downed servers are frequent. You're free to play at any time; people in-game at any given time fluctuates, though.

Tiruin: Feel free to join in at any time. Just download and follow the directions to get it set up; it's pretty simple. Start it up and enter a game - you'll be playing already! (Sort of.) Join the Steam group too, if you can. A lot of announcements and chat happen through there.

Loving the idea. Is there anyway to join in? I play on EU times (GMT+2).

We were hoping for a constant fort at some point, having players in different time zones so that the fort never actually stopped running.  Come back overnight and find a giant penis has been constructed.  Glory to the penis gods.

This by itself makes me want to join up. Also, sig.

This definately needs more exposure.  Carnes also needs to FINISH UPDATING THE THERAPIST THING HE HAS GOING.

Carnes got distracted with some real life stuff, and also with Haven and Hearth.  That second one is my fault, I've set up a mediocre camp and have been trying to recruit DF players to help me found, raise, and lead a village on a killing spree.  (Anyone interested should contact me BEFORE creating a character!)

This idea of Carnes's sounds a lot like the Oceanside Bloodline on the wiki. I've read the journal entries.

I like how you say "this idea" as if it were only theory.  It does work, it's running right now I believe.
