Wow, this is effing Radical. I would love to join, but I'm afraid of what may come of it...

Also
someone definitely needs to gt some separate controls going though and separate populations. going to war would be pretty rad.
If this is possible, it needs to be done.

DF simply doesn't support different input signals.  The best we can do is "hot seat" and swap controls.

yeah i figured. but i just thought it was something to look forward to somebody possibly figuring out a way to do.

anyways... theres a couple of us just twiddling our thumbs in the chat room. so if anyone could get on there and show us the way in that would be super neato.

Pain in the ass that you need a game on your account before you can use chat rooms etc.

Centration. Similar to Spacestation 13, but in 3D and first-person. Sounds damn awesome.

aw. Man. I wish I knew how to get in on this. Steam is not my friend, though I do have an account.

Perhaps for now you could just drop me a message on the forums with the info so I can come check it out?

Just to clarify, the steam group is a formality.  The multiplayer itself doesn't require steam at all.

Yes, but right now it seems to be the only way of getting the info.

Here's a screenshot, for everyone that wants to see what the interface is like.
It's rather large, so I'm going to leave it untagged for those with smaller monitors, though it does adjust itself to the size of the terminal window.
I've also blocked out the address in the titlebar, because I don't know if Carnes wants to share it openly yet.

So basically this is a bunch of people remote desktopping into a computer to play dwarf fortress?  With voice chat???  Epic Win.  Hope it works on Mac, will probably try tomorrow.

Here's hoping the next 3D DF post is actually a working executable too :)
