Are there times when most people play? I'm usually the only one on  :'(
Carnes got distracted with some real life stuff, and also with Haven and Hearth.  That second one is my fault, I've set up a mediocre camp and have been trying to recruit DF players to help me found, raise, and lead a village on a killing spree.  (Anyone interested should contact me BEFORE creating a character!)
That looks amazing! Sent you a PM.

Tell me when the tantrum spiral starts. I must be there in person to watch.

So...could there be new, different worlds or do we join in and then there is already a fort?

I want to have fun the right way, not giving in and letting the fort go to their bloody death in tantrums.

<- Conservative. I would like it to go down in a siege-like bloody death where we all die in the glory of battle.

I can't seem to get past the connection screen. I get to where I see a bunch of windows, and in the back there's the game, running, but I can't do anything because the other windows are in the way. I have the option to disconnect, so I'm clearly on the server, but... :P

If you haven't enlarged the window as much as possible, do so. From there, there are multiple things you can do to solve the problem. The simplest may be to select each window you won't be using and push "ctrl + x" to hide it.

For technical issues, try looking around here.

This thread made me stop lurking on these forums and actually decide to post. I'm on Linux, so Steam is out of the question for me. So, would one of the players on the server be kind enough to PM me the information needed to connect? I'm anxious to start the giant penis for girlinhat. PRAISE THE PENIS GODS! STRIKE THE EARTH!

EDIT: Have IRC and/or Ventrilo been considered as alternatives to Steam for communication?

You can't access the Steam website? If you actually can't, here's the download link. I'd think the website itself would work on Linux.

You don't need to be on Steam to play this. The only things there are the group and a "secondary" and voice chat for events. (The game has built-in chat.) You're not really missing anything.

The simple setup of this may or may not work for Linux. The primary program, Dfterm2, needs to be compiled by Linux users themselves. Here's a link to the Dfterm2 topic. I'd recommend trying to just start it up, as per DFMP download instructions. If it doesn't work, try to find something to do working off of the instructions and whatever you can gather from the program. Sorry I can't give you more help - us Windows users get to do it the easy way. :)

Also, welcome to the forum, in a posting sense. Hope you're able to play the multiplayer!

I can access the Steam website, and have an account, but that's it. I can't download any games, because Steam only has games for Mac and Windows. Us Linux users get no love.

I've been working on getting dfterm2 compiled, but I ran into a slight roadblock involving certain libraries not being found. I'm currently trying to fix this issue.

Thanks for the welcome!

No official game. There have only been a couple of those so far. As far as I can tell, nobody's online right now. Of course, I can only get Server One working right now, so I can't speak for the others.

For those of you who want to play with others: Try Friday and Saturday nights. Those seem to be the most active times.

I may or may not attempt to lead a game tomorrow, depending on my schedule and how interested people seem.  If no one's messing with it, then there's no point, but I'll stick around if people are destroying repurposing my creations.

Okay, I have a problem with this. Nothing but Server 1 is working for me. When I try to run Server two it says "Network error: Connection refused" and Server Z doesn't say anything, it just stops with the green box in the corner. Is anyone else having this problem?
