As mind-blowingly awesome as that would be given what I have read and heard from toady im glad hes committing all his time to making DF single player the best possible experience. From what I understand making it multi-player as standard would slow the project down to a snail on valium's pace. So my thanks to Toady and his legion of modders to make the awesomness we have.

PS: tiny bit drunk (this post may be edited for inconsistencies and grammar) which now has me wondering about real plump helmet wine.... hmmmmm

Ok bad news every body, Mego and Waltzy have attempted to use Waltzys VPS to host and due to incompatibly (x64) its a no go for now.

All we can do is hope some one comes along with a x86 VPS.(Or Carnes gets set back up )

I kind of disappeared for a while due to real life issues, but I'm [planning on] setting my server back up soon, hopefully by this weekend if I can get the 'nix box fixed...  I'll keep this updated to let you guys know, or you can catch me in the steam chat.

It really depends on your internet connection, as that is the only real bottleneck for DFMP. If you have a half-decent connection (100 Kb/s or more), you should be fine.

Well, I've never tested it with anything under 100k, so you aren't necessarily unable to play. I just know that it works fine for 100k+.

Alright! So I know I'm much, much behind schedule, but the 'nix box needs new parts. They aren't here yet. So for the few days it will take before I can get that up and running full time again, I will be hosting the server, once again, on my main PC. I'll be in the steam chat, and you'll need a new server profile (or I can repackage the most recent available one) to connect.

I apologize about the wait, school, life, and me almost getting shot in the supermarket the other day (oh boy not cool) kind of kept things too busy for DF.
