I've been bugging Carnes, but no reply as of yet. My computer isn't up to hosting a server, or else I would. If anyone else wants to host a server, I can help them set one up.

Oh really I was discussing this with some friends a few days ago and might have a solution. is there some where i can get the server client to test it with?

"Server" and "client" are two different things. The client program can be found in the link in the OP. The server program is dfterm2, which can be found here.

Ok got the relevant materials to my resident Linux guy hes compiling and putting it on his server. Fingers crossed all goes smoothly as hes a busy guy. will post results as soon as its working / gone so wrong he rage quits. Good luck to all of us ey.

Oh on a side note as a intermediate fortress overseer I only played a few mods here and there. I was lucky enuf to get about an hour on the servers before they went down but happened to notice you guys were playing defence mod on that one. My question is assuming (for now) ill only have one server up what mods should we run ?

If dfterm2 doesn't compile, I've had some experience with fighting it on Linux. Have him shoot a PM at Mego on irc.globalgamers.net if he has difficulties.

Depending on the distro, it may or may not immediately compile. I know that with my distro (Fedora), I had to modify some stuff in the code, despite having all the dependencies installed.

He had a shot at compiling tonight hit a snag but says he knows what to do and will start on it agen tomorrow. Hes has been pretty busy at work so ill keep you posted when we get closer. I gave him your contact details so if a Waltzy comes to bother you thats him.
