Yeah, it's definitely not being properly recognised as a statue. I'm not sure whether this is because it is an artifact, or because it fell with its creator through several floors before coming to rest. Either way, it's recognised by piles but not by the 'build statue' section.

Are you building your statue in a place that can access the artifact which fell?

Problem is, it doesn't show up in the list when I hit 'build statue'. Just says 'needs statue'.

I attempted crafting another statue, just to see if it would create the list, with the artifact statue in it, but no dice. Only the normal statue showed in the list to place a statue.

So it doesn't let you get to placement first?
